Saw his Dad play for Hillcrest HS in the Proviso East tournament. What could've been had he stayed at Marquette!

Why did pops bail after soph year?

My recollection is that he didn't want to play second fiddle to some guy named D Wade........he then regretted that decision and wrote a letter to Crean apologizing for leaving the way he did.......he had people in his ear I think.

At least that is what I heard.

For what it's worth, I can't find him mentioned on any of the major recruiting sites. Seems like it would be another late bloomer flyer deals similar to Phillips.

Where on earth does that guy get "top 10 unsigned prospect nationally" from?

I don't disagree with what you said, at all.

I do disagree with this if the implication that Marquette's offer was ahead of Dukes in year 1, it wasn't

Has some low-major offers listed in his Twitter feed.

I love rumors.  The easy reason for the sudden surge in interest is that he has grown from 6'3 to 6'8.   That changes the perception of a skill set.

No idea. Guessing it's because most class of '25 recruits have already signed, but yeah, seems like a wild exaggeration given he's not even ranked in '26.

Need another project!

Devil's advocate...

Doesn't hurt (maybe helps?) if MU shows some level of interest now, but doesn't sign him. He goes to EIU (saw he has an offer) and plays well, blossoms into a P5 player, and eventually transfers to MU.

My understanding is that Duke's biggest draw was to play with Flagg. Can't argue with that.

The transfer quotas published in the MJS Friday morning - before the game

Ok thanks for the correction. I knew they were from one of his PC's. Still think my original point stands; Shaka wasn't about to get into his plans for the portal then and there

That wasn't the implication at all.

Best friends with Jaxson Davis who we are also recruiting.  Both lefty guards which we've had success with lately.  Wouldn't hate having a package deal here.

What year/class are they in?  If they'd be freshmen when Nigel/Adrien are juniors that could be ideal.

Never mind, found info few posts above

They are class of 2027 prospects.

Dooney Johnson is another stud guard Marquette is in on in that class.  Plays at Milwaukee Juneau.
