1 and Done potential going against Arkansas and Calipari that will be willing to shell out Millions...can culture compete with cash?

No, green weenie, aina?

Here for NMD. It's over

I watched some of Ian's game......by my count he was 1-3 from 3......and 9-9 at the free throw line along with that coast to coast jam

Opponent played a collapsing zone the whole game and with no shot clock it's kind of a boring watch.

Not sure how many rebounds he had but didn't seem like many.....he did block at least 3 or 4 shots.

Needs to get stronger.......as with many high school kids he will benefit from playing with other good players.....

For those knowledgeable about HS bball-what are the chances that a shot clock becomes part of the HS game in the near future? It would really help those who are college bball material to learn how to play with a shot clock.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

Wisconsin (WIAA) has tried multiple times to implement a shot clock, but there is a lot of pushback from schools about cost.  Installing the new board and hiring (or recruiting a volunteer) to run the shot clock every home game adds up.

As far as I understand, coaches generally WANT it and the WIAA wants it, but member schools are resisting.

My understanding was that the shot clock issue was a big schools versus small schools issue. The bigger schools want the shot clock to speed up the game but the smaller schools resist to be able control pace as much as possible. I could be wrong though.

Now THIS makes sense, even though you have made it very clear you are speculating.

Thanks.

I'm sure there isn't a lot of support for that very reason with budgeting being used as a crutch.

Maybe things have changed since "back in the day", but don't all WIAA boys and girls basketball games have an official scorer or someone operating the clock anyway?

It's a real issue. You would need a third scorer and schools are having a tough time recruiting people as it is.

These days small schools don't play large ones often so I doubt that's the problem.

so not much of a chance we would play a school such as, umm, like augustana for instance?  usually schools as such enjoy the money and the publicity, eyn'a?

Is Michael Phillips' recent performance a product of level of competition or is this kid just on an absolute rocketship?

Either way he ain't seeming like the #169 recruit in his class.
