For what it is worth. I personally would prefer both Hill and Hodge to Sir.

Sir really can't shoot well at all. In aau he finished 26.8% from 3 and 52.2% FT. 42.8% TS. His best percentage season was his last year in HS, on an awesome team with many D1 players in a public HS league. He shot 33% from 3 and 71% FT.  The positives for Sir are his versatility and his ability in the pick and roll.

Hill is just the type of recruit that has amazing measurables and upside.

Hodge is a versatile wing than can play anything from the 3-5 tomorrow. He affects all the aspects of the game.

Isaiah is great and a very strong role players, but I just think he and Owens overlap a bit too much. And he's gonna go to UConn unless something dramatic happens. (As long as his cousin doesn't follow him, I'm cool with it)

Kon is great, I just think he'll go to Virgina or Duke in the end, and he is planning more visits to notre dame and Alabama. It's just a busy recruitment.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the Ben Steele article announced Hill's recruitment and scheduled visit today also.  They didn't do this for Sir's visit. I think this signals the staff really wants Hill and are going all out with the PR machine to dazzle him and potentially land him. I think he's an ideal 4 or 5 in Shaka's system.

Quick little table of Marquette targets and their AAU stats since their seasons ended.

(note i didn't put Josh Hill's in here because he was split between two teams and adidas 3ssb stats are not worth struggling to find, plus he is the most measurables focused prospect MU is going after.)

Kon would be awesome. He'd be great for MU and I think MU would be great for him.

Assuming everyone is correct and MU isn't going to be a realistic destination for him, I really like what I see from Matthew Hodge.

He seems like the prototypical Shaka guy. A guy that has a great frame, good looking jumper, with a high ceiling but needs some polishing of his skills.

Shaka has had a lot of success with that profile. Would be a fun guy to watch develop at MU.
VIOLENCE!

Marquette offered a late rising player in Caedin Hamilton. Dominated at a NEPSAC summer tournament. He is a true 5 man.

They have been interested for a while.  FAU, Stanford, and St. Mary's have bene monitoring but Marquette has been on it.

And no posts suggesting a redshirt year for him yet, not very scoop like.

First off, the analysis is bad because it's not looking at eFG% so it makes zero sense.

Second, the data is bad / his claims are false. I suspect he's getting data from a bad source based here in MN. That crap site would tell you Morez Johnson went 3 for zero on triples in a game. Lol. Shameful.

This is irrelevant to me. Shaka knows how to evaluate players and knows how to build his team with players he can develop.

One other offer to report for Johnny Furphy. NBA Academy player from the Australian Center of Excellence. He is from Australia. Played in Atlanta last weekend. Was offered on the spot by Kansas, Georgetown, College of Charleston, Providence, Marquette and Ole Miss. 247 also said,  Duke, North Carolina, Gonzaga, and UCLA are all monitoring him.

Very bouncy 6'8-6'9" wing. Good motor.

We might know some of his coaches because of Ben Gold. Probably won't hear much more about him until he starts lining up visits. He is still very early in his process.

Matthew Mayer went back to high school?  In Australia?

Pepe Sylvia

I'd add he brings a little more fun to the names of our players, too many jones and mitchells currently. Will fill the Olivier-Maxence Prosper fun name gap nicely.

Thanks for the reply.

In regards to Sir, I am not concerned if he goes elsewhere.  I am confident Shaka will land some excellent guards in 2025.  And the current backcourt is plenty deep for the next two years.

As for Hill, his length and athleticism would be a nice addition to the roster.  A taller version Al Amadou, perhaps?

Don't know much about Hodge but in the limited video I've seen he's shown some nice passing.  He can execute Oso style bounce passes from above the break.
