I think y'all are making too much of Kon's visit to ND and MU's ass kickin' of the Irish as working in our favor. Playas consider many factors when deciding which schollie to accept. I would guess the least of which is head to head competition. I'd be more concerned with the fact that this is his second visit to South Bend over all other factors, hey?

Yes, but it doesn't hurt when you have MU fans providing a better atmosphere at an away game vs. the ND fans. I'd like to think not playing in a dud environment has a factor of some sorts.

I agree 4ever, multiple visits to ND is not a good sign. 

But what happened yesterday didn't hurt MUs cause.  The environment yesterday for ND was terrible and it included a ring of honor induction.   Walking into Fiserv feels like a big time event.  Walking into the Joyce not so much.

Sure. But I don't think there's any way to spin ND getting their collective butts handed to them in front of a dead crowd with the visitors' cheering section being way louder as a positive. The visit was happening either way, better to kick their butts then not.

I think the worst part for Notre Dame is there doesn't seem to be much as far as talent currently on the team for when he'd be there. Which may be an opportunity, but also not an indicator of success.

Where does that composite place him among prior Marquette recruits. Look at that...we had a prior recruit with exactly that composite rating...who was that? [Shudder] Hard pass."

Just kidding, of course. I'd love to see him in a Marquette uniform.

1) Henry, great sure but no postseason

2) Vander, great career left a sour taste in a lot of peoples mouth.

3) JJJ, I mean he did ok but considering he's one of the highest rated recruits for Modern MU? I'd say meh

4) Dawson, looked good in flashes but terrible year and transferred out is clearly a head case

5) Dameon Mason, meh

6) Joey Hauser, same as Dawson but on a team that was actually good.

7) Burton, terrible team and then left us understandably

8) Dom James, finally someone who actually made an impact.

9) Duane Wilson, never was the same after his broken foot.

10) Junior Cadougan, was decent and clearly effective to get us the post season runs we had but due to the ACL probably never hit his potential.

After looking at that list I'd almost rather us stay away from highly rated stars lol

Vander certainly "made an impact." He was second team all BE and the leading scorer on a conference champion and Elite 8 team.

I called him great. He also was our highest rated recruit in modern basketball by a decent margin I think people expected more from him Freshman and Sophomore years.

Yeah hence the "was". Last I checked class of 2010 came before 2015 so when someone from the class of 2010 comes they were the highest recruit we had in years by a great margin.
