Alright boys.  No wise crack remarks in the next 24 hours.  Nobody knows anything.  The tea leaves look good but apart from his parents probably nobody knows for sure.  Let's give an 18 year old kid his moment.  He's been diligent and courteous in his process.   If he chooses MU, we can all celebrate together.  If he decides to go elsewhere,  we'll wish him the best.

THIS Knock off the silly stupid crap please...these are a very important 22 hours coming up. You wanna make funny jokes, take it off this thread...I'm stressed out enough right now.

A Marquette education would have better prepared you for tough days

I still think he picks Marquette for obvious reasons. But when you read his comments, he sounds pretty excited about all 4 of his finalists.

I'm guessing that's to build the hype up a little bit.

Seriously.  You're still here?

If this is what you need to hear then here it is for you.  If Dawson chooses IU tomorrow then congratulations, he made the right choice, will be a beast for you immediately, and is an awesome kid.  If Dawson chooses MU tomorrow he chose to play for a horrible head coach simply because he wasn't good enough to compete for minutes at IU with their totally loaded front court.

How's that?  Can you move along now?

Is this what Cheeks is like on the IU boards?

Imagine being so invested in a program you love dearly and have a HUGE passion for...like I do MU. I so badly want to see them get back to at least where Buzz had them, and climb higher. I really, truly believe a class of Oso, Lewis and then Dawson would propel the program out of the doldrums it's in right now. Just my opinion.

I still think he picks Marquette for obvious reasons. But when you read his comments, he sounds pretty excited about all 4 of his finalists.

I'm guessing that's to build the hype up a little bit.

You do realize Marquette and Indiana have made the same number of NCAA's, Sweet 16's, Elite 8's, and Final Fours in the past 20 years. (MU has made one more NCAA but let's call it even) Twenty years is a long time  You also realize Marquette has a strong fan base and basketball support as evidenced of their frequent top 25 annual attendance (9th last year) finishes as well as their annual hoops budget.

The spin was no way a recruit would choose Marquette over Indiana. How could it be? No one would do that.  If he chooses Marquette the spin will be (spoiler alert: it has already started, that Garcia is selfish and wants to be a featured star. IU dodged a bullet DG was scared off by the big bad IU front court)

1) Whether you like it or not Marquette has had a similar amount of on court success as Indiana for a long time. Yep, our little sisters of the poor small private school.

2) Kids choose schools for a very wide variety of reasons every day. Raise your self esteem, no need to spin negatively. Losing and rejection are a part of every day life for every team or person anywhere. It's okay. On to the next one for 3 programs tomorrow.

(Oh I forgot geographic proximity spin.....how could I forget those 300 miles closer for Milwaukee vs Bloomington.)

Everyone here hopes he chooses Marquette. Everyone here doesn't think Marquette needs to take a backseat to anyone. If he chooses Marquette, great, if he chooses someone else, good luck to him.

One more CB prediction for MU.
