Ahh yes, because throwing money at them will solve the cheating.  Just like legalizing drugs, so the advocates claimed, would kill the black market....which of course it didn't do at all.  Eliminate the market of corruption and it magically disappears.  LOL.

If you are going to cheat, you are going to cheat.

Your last sentence is such a load of crap.  There are plenty of us that don't want them compensated because it will mean a net loss opportunities for many young women and men as a result.  Aside from the fact that apparently since people can't follow the rules we should just cave in and let the rule breakers dictate where things go.

You love to use this. Are you sure legalization hasn't had an effect on the black market AT ALL?

He is dead wrong on that
Legal cannabis has had a huge effect on the black market.  Peopple simply go to the dispensary now.  They know what they are getting n the concern of arrest no matter how small is gone.  The only thing that hasnt eliminated the black market are  the huge taxes placed on legal weed and the evaporated demand causing illegal weed prices to moderate n evan fall to provide any incentive whatsoever.
Chicos is almost always wrong.

Marquette isn't going to get him. You can go to Xavier's or Seton Hall's boards and have conversations with yourself on your two different usernames there like you did on MSU's boards. Marquette is out for the guy.

They are compensated already and 99.9% of them getting more value then they give to the program. They come out way ahead, so your comment is false from the get go.  But I sure hope those Little Leaguers get paid that are on ESPN....and the high school athletes....Girl Scouts selling cookies....life lessons learned every day, but the man is keeping them down apparently.  What a tragedy.

Black markets exist because people are being underpaid for the value they bring. Under the table payments wouldn't exist otherwise. There isn't a black market for little leaguers or Girl Scouts.

Sometimes, but they also exist to avoid taxation to provide a service that is outlawed....your definition is limited.

Little Leaguers drive eyeballs each Summer on ESPN and ABC, why shouldn't they get a cut like your proposed tragic exposure story of a tiny sliver of men's basketball and football players?  The money isn't going to the kids....how is the argument any different?  Girl Scouts are being used as "child" labor to sell cookies....sure they earn a patch and money goes back to the troops (just like some NCAA monies go back to schools)....why aren't they compensated?   Should Dwade's and Lebron's son who are teaming up to play high school ball out here get paid because now those games will be streamed?  Why not?  What's the difference?

Formal and informal definitions.  Makes sense that you don't recognize both versions...not surprising at all.

1. formal
the greyish tissue of the brain and spinal cord, containing nerve cell bodies, dendrites, and bare (unmyelinated) axons
Technical name: substantia grisea. Compare white matter
2. informal
brains or intellect

Also...you should actually read articles before you post then having only glanced at the headline. The black market in California, according to what you posted, is thriving in the areas that haven't permitted dispensaries. So has it affected the black market? Yes, by pushing it to communities that don't embrace legalization. The Colorado exports, again, impact the black market by pushing the product to places it isn't legal.

Any black market sustenance created by deregulation is in places that have not deregulated. At least that's what the articles you posted said. But hey, dead brain at work 😂.

I'm only commenting on your PBS link re: Colorado as I caught part of their broadcast on this the other day. The "thriving black market" is growers in CO exporting to states, especially FL, that do not have legal weed yet. If weed was 50-state legal the situation would be quite different.

Can't you guys exchange hotmail accounts for this kind of stuff?

Just to have at least one recruiting nugget in here...

Another Blue Devils guy predicted Justin Lewis to Marquette last night, making it 8/8 crystal ball predictions for Marquette.  So obviously it's a done deal.

I wonder if Evan heard of an imminent announcement coming.  Would love to get a commitment here soon.  I assume the guys who made their predictions after him were just following Evan's lead, although with the Duke connection maybe word found its way down to Durham.

Does Lewis have any connections to other high major recruits that Marquette might be in on?

I'm not sure, other than playing against players in the Nike EYBL.  He'll also attend the USA Tryout next week, which has 5 or 6 players listing Marquette.

Justin Lewis has been the guy I've wanted most since the spring.  He will help fill the spot left by Morrow and is real versatile.  To my knowledge, Marquette has never signed a player from Maryland.

Justin is a very good fit with MU. The young man  has the type of base level skills that can built into something special. He has an excellent opportunity to reach his potential at MU.

If we could sign him up it would give the 2020 recruiting a lot of momentum. Getting on the recruiting scoreboard in Maryland would be helpful to our cause as well.
