Henry Ellenson and Haniif Cheatham last year, and now this guy this year.  I just don't see any way that Marquette gets any of these three without Wojo as head coach.  Of course, a big shout out to Stan Johnson (who probably wouldn't have come here without Wojo being here either) for being instrumental in Markus' recruitment.

Patience everyone, the signs are very good.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Hank who?

I love Henry and really thank him for what he did for one year and this is probably going to sound petty, (which I assure you it isnt) but after he declared many of his interviews make him sound like a complete tool. I wonder if I just had the blue and gold goggles on for the year he was here.

I think your instincts are good on this one.

Haven't really paid a ton of attention to interviews with him since the season ended, but from the ones I have seen it seems like a kid who's been waiting for the opportunity to play in the NBA for a long time now and has been preparing for the process for a long time.  Shows confidence in his abilities, talks about his strengths, doesn't play any favorites as far as where he'd like to go, and seems excited about what the future holds.  And who wouldn't be?  The kid's about to be a multimillionaire playing in the NBA as a 19 year old.  Good for him.

This kid could save the program.

The program needed saving before Al got there.  The program needed saving, big time, before O'Neill got there.  The program needed saving, to a somewhat lesser extent, before Crean got there.

A program coming off a 20-13 season and back-to-back top 20 recruiting seasons does not need saving.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Love Marquette basketball.  Henry should have stayed.  The NBA should not sign plAyers under 21.

Didn't lIke his interview after the wisconsin game in which he declared himself the best player in the state....

Ah now we're turning on Henry. He's never said or done anything to hurt Marquette, but now he's...confident?

Who knows...

Confident and correct. Henry was the best college player in the state this year. Hands down. NBA scouts would agree. I had no problem at all with his statement. There may be a fine line between confident and cocky — but I've never seen or heard anything to indicate that Henry ever crossed it.

Well, he clearly was.

Ah, he was talented player, but, played like a Freshman., out of control, with a lot of missed shots and turn overs and not great defense.  He cost us a lot of games.  He could have been great if he played longer at Marquette.

Should the NY Ballet be allowed to sign ballerinas under 21? Should Universal Studios be allowed to sign actors under 21?
Should Cisco be allowed to sign technicians under 21?

Why should a 19-year-old basketball player be denied an opportunity one of his ballerina, actor or technician peers get?

Can a player cost you games with a few bad plays if he's the main reason you're decent in the first place?

Should voters be allowed to elect a Representative under 25, a Senator under 30, and a President/Vice President under 35?

The Constitution says no, even if the voters think they are ready.

Are you claiming that the NBA age rule is in the Constitution?

Right. Just pointing out the error in your comparison.

No error.

The authority that determines who can run for federal office (the Constitution) imposes limits, so there's no reason that the authority that determines who plays in the NBA (the NBA rules) couldn't do the same.

You might disagree that it should do so, but I made no error in implying that it could.
