The real value of Todd smith can be noticed in the fact that we havent had a serious season ending injury in almost what, 6 seasons? Otule's acl. I suppose Duane's stress fracture but that was before he ever even played in a game.
Now look at the Notre Dame women who had four torn acl's just this season. The lack of injuries is a real testament to Todd and the athletic staff, now only if the packers would take note and change their strength and conditioning program.

If Smith was at ND, they still would have had 4 ACL ruptures.

Not surprising. Carton is one of the best PGs in his class.  He's going to draw interest from top programs.  It's up to Wojo to either seal the deal with Carton or land somebody else.

Would like to see if we can use our Detroit connection to get more active with Rocket Watts.

Too late—Rocket saw a photo of the wife of X's coach and asked to walk on immediately.

You can't say that with no idea what the work load of those players has been. Our athletic training staff is at the forefront of college athletics and using catapult has been a big factor in that, far and away we have less injuries than the bulk of programs on a yearly basis.

I'm aware of Catapult. Catapult may be preventing some overuse injuries, but not ACLs. In fact, if Smith was some injury whisperer, he would be paid multi million dollars by some professional team. There's a lot of research on whether we can actually prevent injuries and most of it is, meh.

Oh come on, you know exactly what the acl research is and it's low level evidence case control studies. Very few people are having high level performance testing done just before they blew out their acls. I'm not an ortho or pt but from my experience the high level athletes I work with get injured at a far lower rate than the average joe, and when they do it seems to generally from being overworked or inadequate strength training. I'll take a decade of Todd Smith and the results I've seen over some case control studies on ankle sprains.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Thanks, I am a PT. What kind of ACL research are you talking about? There are gobs of it, not just case studies. Maybe the ND strength coach should have done FIFA 11+ aina?

I blame myself, I spelled his name "Hagens" in an early post.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Not surprised - his reclassification was contingent on an offer from one of the big boys.

I'd be interested to see if the investigation into Kansas causes anyone do decommit...ideally Grimes...
