Right you are Aircraft. And I believe the Badgers were nationally ranked at the time the game was played.

Some of the references here are a little dated, but it is still freakin' funny:

It's a great picture and wonderful story. But just curious ...

If Wisconsin beats us Saturday on a last-second shot and Bo jumps up on the scorer's table to salute our fans who had been giving him crap all game long, would it be un-classy for us to give Bo the finger?

Or would it be required?!?!?!?
No fan should be allowed out of the Bradley without giving Bucky the one finger salute. It is after all, to signify that they are number 1 in our hearts. It would be classy, memorable, appropriate, and a no brainer.

And Bo deserves to be given crap all game long, and before and after the game also.

And speaking of crap, didn't the Packers leave bags of crap in the visitor's dressing room when the Bears came to town back in the 80's? Now that was the height of elegance and class.

Yes they were ranked #16 on January 29, 1974

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/wisconsin/1974-schedule.html

This was the first season since 1962/1963 they were ranked.

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/wisconsin/1963-schedule.html

MU beat them, Al jumped on the table, and the next week they fell out of the rankings.

UW basketball would not be ranked again until the 1993/1994 season under Stu Jackson

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/wisconsin/1994-schedule.html

That's 19 straight seasons without a ranking.  Also 1994 was the first time they made the NCAA tourney since 1947. (remember it was a much smaller field back then).

Bottom line, Buckys loss to MU that day killed their program for nearly 20 years!

While the chances of it happening are south of 50%, we need to have payback for the way the Rodents humiliated us last year.

Hoping for the improbable to happen.

We need to repeat that this year.

How can I start badger hate week 2014 when badger hate week 2013 never ended.

We don't need no stinking badgers!

warriorchick

There is nothing but upside for the Warriors here.

If we get blown out, it's what everyone was expecting.

If it is a reasonably competitive game, it is going to make the Badgers look bad, even if they win.
Have some patience, FFS.

Why wait until the game's over to give Bo the finger?

brewcity77

If Bucky doesn't beat us by 9+, I think we should be chanting "Omaha's better than you!"

That way we can let them know they suck even if we lose.

I almost got tossed from the Bradley Center last year simply for asking Greg McDermott if the money he saved on Doug's tuition went to playing the refs. Doubt they would appreciate giving Bo the finger.

Great picture, but where is the end when Bucky jumps off the ledge?

Someone bought my 10-year-old son a Final Four Tee from last year... without my knowledge.  I proceeded to soak it in lighter fluid and burn it with my son cheering gleefully (not to mention my enjoyment).

When I was the mascoting, a guy from a company that made mascot stuff came to the Al to talk about ways to rehab the Golden Eagle costume (new jersey, less padding in areas, different helmet in head, etc.).  Anyway that guy was the one in the Bucky costume who got tackled.

So the guy getting tackled went into mascot sales as his profession.

You should have asked him why Bucky wears a big sweater, but no pants.
