At one point this year I was going to post a poll asking what would happen first, Buzz getting us to the final four or getting us on probation. I decided not to post that, since I'm not very liked around here to begin with. Also, I just went back to having another drink and forgot about posting the poll

Why else would he take VA Tech so quickly?  The season is still going on.  The coaching carasoul hasn't hardly even started.  If he waits a few weeks a better job comes up for sure.

VA Tech with our without Buzz is not gonna ever be a top third team in the new ACC.

Earlier their was a post that said it was the $2m buyout that stopped Buzz from going to Minnesota last year.  The source was a Minneapolis reporter.  The year before was SMU, The year before that, as Hunt noted, Oklahoma was prevented by money from hiring Buzz.

This is why the administration (cords) was not caught flat-footed.  Been working on this for some time.

Not everybody who defended Buzz is gone.  I supported him as much as anybody until about four hours ago. Now I recognize him for what he was. I was wrong.

This is not knee jerk decision. I love Buzz, but not for everybody. That said, he coached like a guy with a chip on shoulder this season which gives cause to long term commitment.

That's the odd thing, Wake, BC, Okla State and more coming next week (and the week after).  Why didn't he wait?  Could he have been in a hurry to get out of town?

I have no indication that he was asked to leave.  But I am 100% certain that he had detractors at MU's highest levels.  Best of luck Buzz. Thanks so much for the memories.

He doesn't have an agent. Maybe that was the one honest thing he said while he was here. Maybe Buzz is just a hillbilly from Texas who is actually genuinely unintelligent and didn't wait for a better job...

The guy was quirky beyond all belief. This looks like another quirk in the Buzz "BRENT" Williams saga.
