I figure she'll be a grad transfer to a high major. Good for her, she's earned the opportunity and represented MU at the highest level on and off the court. I even got a nice handwritten note from her thanking me for my donation to the VB team a few years ago.

Maybe, Muggs, but, I'm a big fan of the Huskers and Lady Huskers. My first college football game was in Lincoln when I lived in Omaha as a kid. I was hooked. Now, there certainly ain't much on that drive across the state!

I've been extremely impressed with these young women absolutely throttling spikes.  It's a fun sport and these girls are very talented.  Hopefully the lady Warriors amp up their recruiting.

My brother and I were saying the same thing, which prompted me to google spike speed. Sounds like high level, women hitters reach upwards of 50mph. High level women's volleyball is so exciting.

I was at last year's final four and seeing the elite teams in person is a true spectacle. Hotel and ticket prices for KC just dropped significantly for anyone who wants to check out the Final Four.

As for MU, the problem we have is the talent is concentrated among the top programs and they transfer to one another. The top programs also have big NIL for volleyball. Nebraska's volleyball only collective has over $5 million to distribute, and Louisville players are all getting $110k in NIL from their collective. Programs like UK, Pitt, Texas, Bucky, etc are getting rev share too. From I feel like Sweet 16 is the ceiling for programs like MU, the gap is just that large.

Creighton did it.
They had an osbcure program well into the 90's. They won a bit, got a coach who took them up a level or two (Kirsten Bernthal Booth) and stuck around, and then got the facilities to become a top team (or at least tier 1A).

There is a path for MU to do it too, but it would take a lot of commitment from the school. Don't know that the appetite is there for it in the world of NIL.

I hate to admit it, but Whisky is good.  I believe it's Mimi Colyer that unloads on her spikes with zero mercy?  And their setter is very, very, solid.

So good. Yeah, big fan of the UW setter, California kid, I believe who is working through a shoulder injury. They are fun to watch, which pains my soul to say 😂

Huge step given what we lost. It'll be interesting to see coach have a full offseason to recruit this go round.

That Serbian hitter..Una something agic is also outstanding.  Ya, it's sad to admit they are fun to watch.  I'm very new to women's 🏐 but I've become an immediate fan.  Ergo,  MU needs to step it up and find an array of throttlers, setters, liberos, and in essence a dominant rotation.

Creighton wins a lot more volleyball matches than Marquette does. And has more support from fans and the athletic department (although Marquette gets strong support from the athletic department too).

That makes sense. Baylor lost their setter to Florida.
