Sorry I don't have the link because the website is blocked in my office, but yesterday Paint Touches tweeted an article from when Buzz was 27 and an assistant at Navarro. Its pretty hilarious for many reasons: he has hair, his favorite band was Hal & Oats, his dream was to become a D1 coach and to be able to buy his own Harley, and his goal was to coach a team on ESPN one day.

If someone else could please post the article or link that'd be great. For those of you who haven't seen it you'll get a kick outta it.
Bring back FFP!!!

This is when he was at Northwestern State.  I believe he was only there for a year, but I think they made the NCAA tournament just after he left.

Looks like we have to win the Big East Tourney this year. No guarantee we'll have any more conference championship winning opportunities on ESPN past this year.

The last line caught me -- graduating with high honors from Oklahoma City University.  This is not one of those easy to get good grades schools.  It's a private Baptist university with high standards and not inexpensive.

Yeah...I think he plays dumb, because when I first saw that he graduated from there, I thought "that's not a bad school."  I mean, it's not as difficult as Marquette to get into...but it's more difficult than a run of the mill state school.

And just a little nitpick, it's a Methodist school.

From the photos on its website it would appear the coeds favor chicken fried steak

The Hall & Oates thing is pretty disturbing, actually. Let's hope Buzz isn't pulling up to recruits' homes in a limo at midnight and as the young man settles into his seat Buzz slips in his Hall and Oates 8 Track and begins to give the lad his pitch...

it's destiny then.   :)

Also interesting to see that after winning the conference tourney, he wants all his kids to go on and graduate with honors.  Not many coaches would add that to their dream.

Not only that, what parent wouldn't want that for their kids?

Get it done, Chief!

I would say Jamil Wilson as DORN only because at ime I truly question how hard he is playing - he needs to get to that part of the movie where he toughens up by fielding a bunch of grounders off  his body.   God I love that movie though ......

Maneater?
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

...one on one, I want you to play that game tonight (one....on one)   ooooo, ooooo.."    "Bill Raftery says your 'kiss' is on my list"     "When you play for me, I'm never 'out of touch, out of time'."
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Absolutely hilarious

I can't believe Buzz listed those two as his favorite music. I mean, didn't he know they were a code word for something else?

Wash your fuckin' mouth out with soap.  Hall and Oates combine smooth melodies, rock and roll, jazz beats, and song writing you would think would come from the pen of Jesus Christ himself.
