Bo will rarely double...and will only do it when the post player puts it on the floor.  And then the double will generally come from the backside.

Hmm... How do we combat that?

- Go make quick decisive post moves (Otule's quick hook has been pretty good)
- Post, kick, re-post. Might allow Gardner to catch the ball deeper on the second catch and/or make UW scramble a little
- Gardner has been pretty good at holding the ball without dribbling and letting the cutters run past (taking their man with them). We'll see if he can have that same patience and identify where/when the double is going to come.

It ain't rocket surgery.

UW from year to year is pretty similar, but obviously the abilities of the personnel changes.

They will play tough D, they will clog the lanes, they will prevent fast breaks. They want to control the ball, and the clock and they will execute until the defense makes a mistake.

The interesting match-up will be Gardner. MU hasn't had a low post scorer against UW in a long time. In fact, I don't even know Bo's general strategy for handling low post big men. Do they double from the backside? Do they double down? Do they double at all?

Also, I assume Vander is going to be pretty pumped up. If he plays under control, I think that will be a clear step forward in his basketball maturity.

Bo will not under any circumstances double the post.

Wiscy has one guy who can beat you off the dribble.   Dekker.   Bo seems to be pulling him every time he misses a defensive rotation or fails to get a defensive rebound.    Do not double off of Brust.     Challenge everybody else when they put the ball on the floor.   Rebound and run.

I get that.   Throw in some Jesus and bad jokes...

Watching this game last night was incredibly painful. The Badgers are the most boring team in all of NCAA basketball. I would've rather watched the worst two teams in the Horizon League play.

I'm just so glad I'm not a WI alumnus or fan. Falling asleep at every basketball game would really start to suck after a while.

This is spot on. Have a friend who was at a Badger practice last week and said they love Dekker's O, but coaches spend major, major time with him on defensive rotation where he is struggling.
