Drunken Bull Burger at the Prime Burgerhouse at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, IL

To start, my patty is 100% Kobe beef covered in savory, melted Maytag bleu cheese. Then come the sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, crispy prosciutto and cabernet reduction on a salty pretzel bun. It's just the right amount of salty, crunchy, savory and sweet.

Otule's Glass Eye

Oscars is great and Major Goolsby's also has nice ones. Haven't had AJ Bombers or Sobelmans. The burgers at The Boneyard Pub and Grill are great too.

Kobe beef is a sham.  No beef from Japan is allowed in the USA.  Places here slap Kobe on the menu and charge for it.

Does anyone remember the Brown Bottle?  I loved their burgers... they were a craft brew place a few years before their time.  http://www.onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/bottleclosed.html]]http://www.onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/bottleclosed.html  One of the best burgers I ever had was their Buffalo Burger (made from buffalo, not the sauce).  It's too bad that awesome bar closed.

I realize that it's a chain, but Fudruckers burgers are awesome!  I love the fresh buttered bread, the tasty 80/20 ground chuck/sirloin and all the fresh toppings that you can help yourself to.

Redamaks, in New Buffalo, Michigan is one of the juiciest, cheesiest burgers out there.

the original Sobelmans is really good too.

Ah, the Brown Bottle, I think Thursdays were $2 import nights...

I cooked many of those brown bottle burgers.  Worked there from 2001 to 2003.

You know Linda (old manager) now own O'Lydia's on S. Water (old Slims)?
But I like to throw handfuls...

She was the manager when I worked there.  Didn't really stay in contact once I quit.  I needed the time off in 03 to make a spring trip to New Orleans.  Good to hear she is doing well in the business.

I worked there as a waiter in the summer of 2001 I believe.  Friday night all you can fish fry, and Saturday night all you can eat crab legs were hellish for servers.

Anyone try Burger Jones in Burnsville or MPLS?  Ive heard good things about.  Supposedly, they have a killer bloody too.

Have been to the Calhoun location in MPLS.  Parasole place and a little overpriced just like all Parasole restaurants.  Good burger not great.  What is great is the alcohol laced shakes that they serve, Hard Shakes, and the Lake Street Lemonade.

If you've never tried, it's Highly recommended you do!!

or if you feel like taking a trip about 40 minutes east of Green Bay, "Joe Rours" is fantastic as well!

Not the best I've ever eaten, but the best I've eaten in Door Co.:

Birmingham's.  Served on bread.  Outstanding

I agree on Krohls burgers, very tasty and a great bun/roll

not the best burger by any means: Mad Dog Saloon in Greenfield, tried one last night, meh, at least it was only $5

Joe's is absolutely fanfrackingtastic. A bit of a hike, but completely worth it. Pro tip for anyone thinking about going for the first time: order multiple burgers. A growing youngster can probably do 2-3, while a hearty MU grad could probably do close to 4. Just the way they're made. Plus if you go with a bunch of people, they end up bringing this mountain of burgers to you on a circular platter, which has a certain visual appeal.

Went to Kroll's once, never again.

It was a frozen, flavorless patty that was cooked to death, and they tried resuscitating it with two paddles of butter. It was terrible. And this was on a non-gameday up there.

I'll be sure to convey that to Mike,  my best friends dad is the owner ;)  Thanks again!

P.S. they do ship these burgers around the U.S.  In case you'd like some.

Had a Kona burger at the Kona Grill.  Pretty damn good.  Ordered it rare (like all good beef should be prepared).  It was cooked perfectly.  Pretty darned tough to get a good rare burger anymore.

Thanks for the input.

4th base is under rated.

Went to 4th Base for first time in a decade and cannot get back fast enough now. Great burger IMO.

I work very close by and have been there many times.  Burgers are solid.  White Trash Burger there is killer: chicken-fried bacon, cheese curds, and lots of velveeta.  Only annoying part is everything is a la carte.  Most of the time I would rather drive a little further down Excelsior to Bunny's for a much bigger menu, better specials, and better burgers.

I've never been but have heard serious negatives about "flexible" pricing depending on the servers whims/attitude

Flexible pricing is what kept me away. Since no menu hard to tell costs but did not feel screwed on my last visit.
