Perhaps. But if we take care of business against NC Central, put up a solid road win at ND and then beat Creighton at home in our BEast opener, I could see a 9-3 Marquette team -- with wins over Baylor and Creighton and no really bad losses -- sneaking into the top 25 in December.

I thought that if we had beaten Bucky, we would be ranked.  now that we didn't, I still think the Baylor game was big enough and the game on Saturday we played well enough that there will be a few votes for MU.   We've lost our 3 games for a combined total of 8 points in regulation time.  And those were against some solid competition.  That combined with the Baylor pounding was enough to get the attention of some national AP voters.

It seems like quite a few voters are now using the various tempo feee rankings to heavily guide their voting.  Given that were are in the mid 30's I would say we need to win both games this week, with a 20+ win on Tuesday and we will have a shot.

A win at ND would be sweet and take the bad taste out of my mouth losing to the Rodents at home.
