Kid had not much of a choice when he was left with no options at the breakup.  Hope he succeeds at Penn State.  Whole thing was not done well by MU.

I smell

I smell Orange County!

Seems like DJ left USM with a NCAA (minor) infraction parting gift...to go with a bunch of others racked up in their Atletics Department.

Quote

A USM men's basketball player received permission to compete for a team in a summer basketball league in Philadelphia, Pa., in June, 2011, but he later competed for a different team in the Delaware County Pro-Am League in King of Prussia, Pa. without approval from the athletic director, in violation of NCAA rules.

USM took steps to suspend the player for a game, and provided educational sessions for all basketball student-athletes on summer basketball league rules.

The name of the player involved in the violation is redacted from the document, but D.J. Newbill, a former USM player who recently transferred to Penn State, is named on the roster of Hi-Fi House in the Delaware County Pro-Am League.
