Yea i jumped the gun.  At the time I posted it I saw a tweet that was basically preceding an announcement.  But then nothing came and they've released this whole timeline nonsense.

Who knows, but I'm feeling more than a bit optimistic he's toast

They've announced they're making an announcement on Monday.

He should have been gone the last time.  Better late than never.  Marquette took their time canning Wojo and we ended up with Shaka.  Maybe the USMNT will be just as fortunate.  Fingers crossed.

Read some opinions that Cherundolo would be a prime candidate.  That would just be another mediocre MLS move, IMO, that would be perfectly on brand with US Soccer.

Loved Dolo as a player and loved that he started coaching in Germany, but he came back far too soon.  He was very mediocre in the USL and he's been successful in LA only cause he's had far and away the best roster in MLS.

Not enthusiastic about Cherundolo either.  I think maybe we should move away from former USMNT players hired as coach...at least in this cycle...

I saw someone jokingly suggest that GGG will be fired and that Bob Bradley will be hired as the replacement.  The thing is, USSF is such a clown show that I would not be surprised if that actually went down.

I'd be shocked if they don't hire a US coach for a US world cup.

I just want a coach who can make the team more than the sum of its parts. A coach who will play to the strengths of the players/player pool and not be tied to any one "system."

Also, I don't care if the coach wants or doesn't want influence on building us soccer or our development system. Let this person focus solely on the next 2 years.
