dont you think they are judging him too quickly?  Two or three more years of smear pieces before judging would be prudent in your book, right?

Please read the article.  You must have missed this quote, "Remember, this list is alphabetical, not ranked in order of hip-ness."

That list is in alphabetical order... I guess having the the name "Williams" makes you #99 in the "coolness factor."

Trenni Kusnierek, reporter, MLB Network (MU grad)

George "Tip" Thompson, former Bucks player - Really?  One season with the Bucks and he's described as a "former Bucks player", but no mention of three seasons at MU, being the all-time leading scorer for 40 years, and decades of calling MU games?

Awesome. Tim's a great guy.

Also, here's a chance to help out a MU family- Tim, his wife Jess (MU grad as well) and their 4 month old daughter were flooded out of their house in July. They don't have a basement, but the first floor was basically destroyed. Insurance would not cover it, and FEMA said no dice, so a bunch of people have organized a fundraiser for them to help rebuild their house. They also have a Paypal donation page set up.

The website is http://saveteecycle.org/

TMJ4 did a story on them this past weekend as well- http://www.todaystmj4.com/news/local/101784253.html

If you can, please consider helping them out.

LOL, from the guy that thinks the recession ended 18 months ago.  Classic.   Care to comment on what smear pieces you are talking about Robert, since you brought them up?

I like Buzz but in a million years I wouldn't describe him as "cool." In fact, he's kind of an oddball. Besides, we're talking about a list of "Coolest Milwaukeeans" that includes Mike Gousha. How pathetic.

And everybody knows George Thompson's nickname was "Brute Force."

You missed the point a little, it is "And, no, this is not a tribute to our personal friends; this is a collection of local public figures whose ideas, actions and creations make Milwaukee a cooler place to be."

But I like to throw handfuls...

He does seem to favor that Slingblade look with the top button buttoned.
