Also, here's a chance to help out a MU family- Tim, his wife Jess (MU grad as well) and their 4 month old daughter were flooded out of their house in July. They don't have a basement, but the first floor was basically destroyed. Insurance would not cover it, and FEMA said no dice, so a bunch of people have organized a fundraiser for them to help rebuild their house. They also have a Paypal donation page set up.

If you can, please consider helping them out.

Here's another chance for the Marquette Family to band together and take care of one of its own. While I was deployed to Bagram Air Base Mrs Warthog inflicted significant damage to our personal portfolio when she added a sunroom to our already "Combat Ready" domicile. This catastrophic event was unexpected and our family finances were devastated. Gone in an instant was my personal slush fund for fly fishing and salmon whacking expeditions. Gone was the dream of replacing the marine diesel power plant in my 36' Morgan. All that is left is a lot of glass and a lot of orchids. A Marquette grad is left with nothing but the dreams of a better world...
