Buzz wasn't happy anymore, it is what it is.  The Larry Williams/Pilarz combo was a doozy.  It'd be hard to work with them.

We can't forget about Buzz's kids and his altruism with regards to them.  It was very touching

Always fun to revisit the Buzz/Derrick/Dawson/Jake/Wojo/Derrick subject.

And y'all aren't gonna believe this, but O'Tule supposedly played at Marquette with just one eye!

If y'all think Buzz' ego would allow him to check out, you don't know Buzz very well

He wasn't checked out.  He was just spending too much time at Kinko's printing out his resume.
Have some patience, FFS.

Did he go big and used bond paper?

I thought he hand wrote his resume, along with the 100 hand written letters he mails out every day.

I am totally optimistic that this time we will all come to 100% consensus on what happened nearly ten years ago.

I'm guessing we'll have concensus by 4pm ET, then we can tackle 2019.

I know one thing for sure.  A guy who was hoping to move on to a new job was throwing games at his current job to stick it to his current job's administration.  Definitely a guaranteed way to look as attractive as a candidate as possible so you can get the best job available come coaching carousel time.

The copier was for the 200 coaches' contracts he FOIA'ed.

Crean and Wojo discussing Boeheim's swan song.

Crean admitting Syracuse was difficult to prepare for.

You would think in that binder of all those plays there would be something about attacking a zone.

You mean the endless loop 3 man weave wasn't the answer?

I know one thing for sure.  A guy coming off Sweet 16, Sweet 16, Elite 8, who then got dealt a Keystone Cops President and AD who made hime fire a great friend (Monarch) and removed the AD who hired him (Cottingham), had all the ammo he needed to be an "attractive candidate," despite a bad last year.

Buzz massively exceeded expectations every year.  The one year he didn't?  He was picked to win the Big East, and instesad finished 9-9 and 6th in the Big East.  He yanked Burton in the Big East tournament with 8 minutes left and didn't re-insert him into the game until 30 seconds were left and at which time there was zero hope of winning.

Sorry, but anybody who thinks he was engaged, or fully invested into MU winning, doesn't understand how petty Buzz could be.  And giving MU/dipshit Larry Williams a big F-You on the way out the door?  Highly probable.  Period.

Larry Williams (and Pilarz) were already long shytcanned.  The Buzz FU was to Fr. Wild and Bill Cords. Buzz's last straw was when Wild/Cords wouldn't roll back the Pilarz/Williams Rules to let Charles Matthews in, telling Buzz that was for the next regime.

You could say they flushed him.

Larry and Pilarz poisoned the well imo before they were gone halfway through the season.

There was some crap about giving a t shirt to a player  they were giving Buzz heat for.  I believe there were also rumors of some player(s) assaulting??  a female.

I think you are completely wrong.

But if you aren't, then every fan should be glad he left because that's deplorable behavior.

There's also Vander punching a guy at Qdoba and the massive bar fight at Apt 720. 3/5 of these things are not big deals in a vacuum but when you take a step back it's understandable why some of the higher ups said "we need to reel things in a bit"

When your basketball players start acting like Sig Eps, it's time to go full SLU mode.

Quick, let's nuke the basketball team, they're behaving like a bunch of Brother Rice grads.
