I know one thing for sure.  A guy who was hoping to move on to a new job was throwing games at his current job to stick it to his current job's administration.  Definitely a guaranteed way to look as attractive as a candidate as possible so you can get the best job available come coaching carousel time.

Buzz massively exceeded expectations every year.  The one year he didn't?  He was picked to win the Big East, and instesad finished 9-9 and 6th in the Big East.  He yanked Burton in the Big East tournament with 8 minutes left and didn't re-insert him into the game until 30 seconds were left and at which time there was zero hope of winning.

Sorry, but anybody who thinks he was engaged, or fully invested into MU winning, doesn't understand how petty Buzz could be.  And giving MU/dipshit Larry Williams a big F-You on the way out the door?  Highly probable.  Period.
