I don't know why we're wasting our time with this again. We aren't going back to Warriors. Hilltoppers probably should have won but didn't.
Here is why:
We won our only natty as Warriors and our greatest coach and almost all of our greatest players, retired jersies played as warriors .We do not need any other discussion on why we should be Warriors. This is a no brainer. The hell with the candy asses that cant get it or feel otherwise.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

If Marquette went with the legendary musky fish, we would out sell the badgers for team merchandise. It is an outstanding idea.

The Marquette Missionaries.

Some epic connotations with that one....

The Women's teams could be the Marquette Cowgirls

Did you know that Shaka was named after a famous Zulu king and warrior?  If there was ever a time to relate MU to warriors, this is it.

Or we could just adopt the "hang loose" emoji...

As an Air Commando I can affirm that 'hanging loose' is an integral part of the Commando Ethos.

I always love your Anne Zizzo shout outs. #unleashzizzo

Nothing articulates a complex concept with such supreme elegance as Zizzo Gold.

Do you think she's the type of person to plagiarize?

Yep

The " GOLD " fiasco / disaster was
all Zizzo.  And MU BOT was dumb enough to believe her twice

A.  Yes ... we're the Gold

B.  It's just PR ... she would fix it !

Hilltoppers   Edit
West Liberty (West Liberty, West Virginia)
Western Kentucky (Bowling Green)
St. Edward's (Austin, Texas)

Golden Eagles   Edit
Cal State Los Angeles (Los Angeles, California)
Charleston (Charleston, West Virginia)
Cincinnati Christian (Cincinnati, Ohio)
Clarion (Clarion, Pennsylvania)
(CSU-Global (Aurora, Colorado)
College at Brockport: SUNY (Brockport, New York)

The only unique names MU's associated with is Golden Avalanche and Gold. Beyond that Hilltoppers would've been fairly unique but Warriors is about as common as Golden Eagles.

How many teams are named Eagles such as BC. That's close enough to Golden Eagles to be considered overlap.

We already did this topic once this offseason. Isn't there enough going on to not have to rehash this?

The intent of my post was to show that the TBT team might rename themselves.

Granted I should have realized it would turn into this.

I know, I was more lamenting where the topic went than where it began. And in referencing the other thread, of course someone went over to hoop it, which I also should've realized would happen  ;D
