Oh, so its still money we have to spend.

Gotcha.

Please tell me you aren't a B-school grad.  If so, you are making us look bad.
Have some patience, FFS.

Could very well be wrong. In which case those on this board will read my apology, but, my opinion remains that I don't think, nor have I observed, that Steve has the chops to turn this team into a perennial power.
I think he needs to change his recruiting emphasis. Three point shooters are good, but you need to recruit players tough enough to play defense and rebound. I find it hard to imagine that Virginia, Cincy or West Virginia would of seriously tried to recruit any of our players.

I hold Wojo responsible for the team he built, but I think getting to 9-9 in Big East with the talent he had was pretty good coaching.

If you can argue how Villanova or X can do it and we can't, I think you are trying to argue. You did almost convince me with X having on campus facility and 'Nova being better academically. Then I stopped laughing and now think you are just being difficult.

Not trying to be difficult.  An on campus arena means students go in droves, players practice where they play, dates are not an issue.  That is a nice perk to have and why so many schools pour so much money into on campus facilities.  If we had the money to build one, do you think we wouldn't?

Cards on the table . . . I am not hopeful. Kevin O'Neill walked into a worse situation than Wojo and had the team in the NCAA Tournament in year 4, and everyone knew year 5 was shaping-up to be something spectacular.  Of course, O'Neill's first recruiting class was a home run, his second was also exceptional.  With the exception of 2 or 3 players, everyone stayed and developed in the program.  I don't see the same consistency from recruiting class to recruiting class with Wojo.

Maybe Wojo hits it out of the park in the NIT.  Maybe the the underclassmen develop over the summer and next year's  recruits (and a point guard to be named later) approach Kentucky level of performance and the Warriors make a deep run in the 2019 Tournament.  It could happen.  I believe that.  But I am not sure I would take that bet?

O'Neill walked into a bad situation in some regards, but not in others.  Wisconsin was in the middle of their 54 year NCAA drought, so in state talent was waiting to come to MU, not Wisconsin.  Wojo has to fight tooth and nail with Wisconsin on a 19 year NCAA streak and back to back Final Fours.  Wojo also has to compete in the Big East, O'Neill in the Midwest Collegiate Conference.

Wojo has better facilities and stronger commitment by the university, but O'Neill's timing was pretty good in other areas.

I really feel like I am to blame for coaches leaving; nothing to do with the AD, BoT, and President.  Nothing at all.

The AD, President, BoT would come first, but fan pressure is in there, too.  Not sure where anyone said the others are not impactful to that equation.

A happy fan base makes a coach's life easier.  They attend games, donate money, support the team.

Sam Hauser literally made an official visit to Virginia before committing to Marquette.

And when Rowsey transferred, it came down to Marquette and Cincinnati.

Brother TAMU, you better be accurate.

If a year from now we're having the same anger and disappointment we have now, Wojo's seat will be 1000 degrees Kelvin and his backside better be lined with asbestos insulation or his butt will be charcoal. There's no excuse at this point for not being an NCAA team next year, especially given what's coming in and our new "Warrior Center."

Heck, we should have been one this year but......

I know the Trustees love him and I know Coach Wojo is an honorable guy, but if we have another year like this one, the fan interest will nosedive and the revenue wane. Nothing gets a Jesuit's attention faster than waning revenue.

What Jesuits?

If we miss the tournament next year, I don't think you'll find anyone here who would argue that his seat shouldn't be hot.
