Oso planning to go pro
TAMUI do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.
https://painttouches.com/2024/04/19/2024-big-east-roster-tracker/We did this two seasons ago and decided to bring it back this season. An all in one resource that shows what each Big East team is losing, what they're gaining, and what's still up in the air this offseason. We'll be updating every few days.Marquette looking very stable.Depaul and Xavier looking very unstable but bringing in a lot transfers to hopefully come back stronger.St. John's looking very unstable and no movement yet in the portal
Mentions Hopkins of Providence returning from injury as an addition. No mention of Sean Jones for Marquette.
Honestly, not sure we'll see Jones next year. If his timetable is February, is it worth him giving up a year of eligibility like freshman Junior Cadougan did for 6 weeks of playing time?
For the player, preserving eligibility is in their best interest. For the school, it depends. Keeping Greg Elliott out hurt Marquette's guard depth in 2019. Then Greg used his final year of eligibility at Pittsburgh. So Marquette didn't benefit in that scenario. If Tre, Zaide, and Damarius are playing well then it makes sense to let Sean sit out. But if we need depth and Sean in healthy enough to play effectively, I say play him.
coming back too soon risks a reinjury.
The assumption is that he would be cleared obviously.
Villanova:Malcolm Thomas #150 ranked FR, #34 ranked SCWhat does SC stand for?
https://painttouches.com/2024/04/19/2024-big-east-roster-tracker/Roster tracker updated. Every team except Marquette has an update this week, continuing our quiet offseason. Meanwhile Seton Hall has lost every one of their starters and all but one of their significant bench players. We also added some projected starting lineups and it is not looking good for the Pirate or Wildcats, both of whom we project starting multiple freshmen at this point.
I think it’s possible Seton Hall’s experience in the NIT won’t matter next season
Rico, as much as I enjoy your shtick, you gotta stop with the SHU/NIT.
Kalkenbrenner just announced he’s coming back to Creighton. I thought he was out of eligibility
Did he already win the Big East DPOY for next season? 🤔
Good. Someone else for Ben to take out to the 3 pt line. Can't wait.
probably need to improve on 36% to draw the D. Hopefully it will happen. Would be very beneficial to the entire O.
Pretty interesting stuff. I find this era of basketball ridiculously confusing. I’m not a fan but it is what it is and I know I have to get used to it. I’d hate to be a coach in this era. I’m a huge Shaka fan. I hope his approach works. If it does it will elevate his status for me even more. He has his principles and he is sticking to them. Not sure I would be so steadfast when you look at what others are adding but I am going to really enjoy watching how it works out.
Agree with most of this, except for enjoying watching how it works out, especially if it goes south for MU,which it appears to be moving that way as opposed to some of our rivals.
I know it can't literally be "taken away" but ... take away the 5-game slump Gold had right near the start of the conference season, and he shot exactly 40% from 3 in 2023-24.I'd be thrilled if he shoots 40% next season, especially given that he'll probably take quite a few more 3s. Wouldn't you? Do you think opposing defenses would ignore a guy who goes 40% from 3 and easily could have something like a 5-for-7 run in a game?
Imagine being this soft.
Imagine being that ignorant.
https://painttouches.com/2024/04/19/2024-big-east-roster-tracker/Another week another update. If I had to rank the rosters as is right now, here's what I come up with:1. Creighton2. UConn3. Marquette4. St. John's5. Xavier6. ProvidenceGAP7. Butler8. Villanova9. Georgetown10. DePaul11. Seton HallBut there's lots of offseason left. Some of the biggest questions left for this offseason:1. Is Steven Ashworth using his COVID year? With no announcement by this point, I assume so but haven't seen it publically stated anywhere yet2. Why is Ryan Kalkbrenner in the NBA Combine? He says he's coming back to Creighton but he's still going to the NBA Combine. I doubt it happens, but if some team gives him a first-round guarantee, is he still back?3. Will Karaban stay or will he go? If he stays, UConn has a chance to win the Big East again. If he goes? I think they still have a chance to win the Big East again, but I think they fall to 3rd or even 4th.4. Is Jahmyl Telfort coming back? He didn't get invited to either combine but hasn't announced his return to Butler yet. Without him, Butler falls back into the basement.5. Why does no one like Eric Dixon? I never thought he would get drafted, but I'm surprised he couldn't even score a g-league combine invite. Nova insiders seemed pretty convinced that he was gone no matter what, but now that he's without a combine invite, does that change things?6. What's Sha going to do with all those scholarships? He's sitting on five of them! Right now his best player is either a guy who was second team All-Sun Belt, a guy who came off the bench for a bad Buckeye team, or Isaiah Coleman his sixth man from last season. The Pirates need some bodies quickly.
7’2 and needs 5 years in collegeDude is maybe the most obnoxiously overrated player in the BE since the bball only inception.

5 bids1) UCONN2) Xavier3) MU4) Creighton5) Xavier
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold. He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.
reading BlueJayUnderground it sure seems like it's a done deal Ashworth is back.
https://www.app.com/story/sports/college/2024/05/09/seton-hall-basketball-adds-assane-mbaye-patrick-school-7-footer/73636790007/SH picks up a project big that makes our project bigs look good. Only appeared in half of his high schools games last year, averaging just over 2 points. Unless it was injury related, that's not great.
The Hall has a solid tradition with these project Bigs.
I assume that's the case, but id just like a quote from him to confirm
😂😂😂
