Crean fired from IU (sad trombone)

I've met a few people who said he was a professional grade tool, but I didn't have any personal experience with Crean.

Let's put this sh1t to rest.  Crean was/is a first class Ahole.  When he was at MU, he treated people like dirt.  I have this from friends who work in the AD and experienced it first hand.   

This hasn't been talked about much, but when he was at MU, he hired his father in law.  Old man didn't do anything, but had a rep for being a foul mouthed person....at work.  Didn't do Sh1t.

Although he was fired today, he didn't get what he deserved.

The loss against Stanford in the NCAA's should have shown the world that Crean was a terrible in-game coach (he lost to Stanford's assistant coach).  He was a good recruiter, planned very well for every game, and ran a clean program; all items in his favor.  In short, he is the perfect coach for a middling program.

I can't believe he lasted 9 years at IU.

I will say in person over the year, Crean's always been fine... but my interactions have been limited to (a) as media, interviewing him postgame and (b) as a scout, at live evaluation events in the spring and summer.

The circumstances around his departure from MU are not forgivable.

While I've heard similar the same people told me Buzz and his wife were 10x worse. It got to the point they wished Crean was back.

Meanwhile, Wojo and his wife are great, class act.

All of that said, we owe a ton to Crean. Second to Al for what he did for the program.

Crean apparently has his own version of reality:

Final analysis:  Crean took IU from being the 6th best team in the state of Indiana and turned them into the 5th best team in Indiana....and it only took 9 years.
