If a video of Jacobs throwing his girlfriend to the ground gets released by TMZ, I don't see how he can stay in the NFL.

Seems like a lot of posturing going on. If I'm reading the complaint correctly, it's saying there is video of them in the garage and Jacobs destroying her phone while she lays on the ground. My interpretation is that there isn't explicit video footage of him throwing her down.

Two misdemeanors here feels a bit like posturing. I'd argue the timing of these charges is not coincidental.

Hopefully Matt lafleur does the right thing and realizes establishing the run is only the second most important thing here behind being ethical.

A push to the ground is bad, but I'm not sure it is going to get him thrown out of the NFL, let alone off the Packers.  This isn't going to be a video of Ray Rice beating the hell out of his girlfriend.  Having said that, I haven't seen the video and I'm not defending his behavior, but this seems to be his first offense (correct me if I'm wrong) and he will most likely face a suspension of some sort. 

I don't care about a destroyed phone.

Again, I am not condoning any of this behavior, I simply think the NFL isn't going to drop the hammer.

Having said all of this, I'd be fine if the Packers got out from under what they owe him and moved on.

And my understanding is why Jacobs isn't facing a domestic violence charge is because of a technicality in Wisconsin law where you have to either live with, have a child with or be married to the alleged offender. And apparently none of those are the case. (Her official address is elsewhere.)

There is absolutely zero reason for the Packers to keep him around.
