Terrible start for the Brewers.   Need to get it together.  Pronto.

wadesworld

This is exactly why the Brewers will not be beating the top teams in the Playoffs. Getting buys are huge for them and getting to play someone like the Cubs massive. They succeed by grinding out ABs and making starters work all season. Teams with more talent suddenly also do that come Playoff time and talent just takes over.

The idea that the Brewers prove the system isn't broken because they're a small market team that dominates dies once talent takes the same approach.

The best pitcher in baseball has 58 pitches and counting in the 2nd inning.

Chourio is special.

CreightonWarrior

You know you're special when you outpace legendary slugger Orlando Arcia.

Shaka Shart

Has to really sting for the cub fans watching knowing pca would have picked off that chourio hr

Damn.  Not enough pop from Yelich there.

MuggsyB

Fk.  Nevertheless, that Chourio blast was Gargantuan.

MuggsyB

The Padres must have 20+ foul balls?

MuggsyB

Both teams not using the challenge well at all.

Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Guardians all have lower payrolls than Milwaukee.  Milwaukee is middle class this playoff season.

I been feeling it since 1966, now...

Well that was a wasted opportunity. We can look back to the bottom of the 4th if the Brewers don't win this thing. Cmon guys.

I don't know why they didn't bunt with no outs man on 2nd.

I don't think Mitchell is a very good bunter.  I'm pretty anti-bunt anyways. Especially this early.

Those teams do have a chance to make a WS appearance because they don't have to go through the Dodgers and the AL stinks, but they also won't be winning the WS.

Fair enough.

MuggsyB

This home plate ump has gotten a ton of pitches wrong.

SoCalEagle

Same thing happened in the Dodgers game.  I think there were 5 calls overturned.

SoCalEagle

There we go. Nice blast by Contreras. Brewers are gonna take game 1.

Yeah that was bad. Big moment for a young kid.

MuggsyB

Good grief. Cannot walk two guys in the 8th.

MuggsyB

I think he went on that 3rd strike.
