Providence off to a bad start. Wouldn't break my heart if they were the first BE team to end their season.

Looks like DePaul's magical season is coming to an end at 16-16.

Were the old big east first round games this dead? no meaningful games until the Semis

I could be wrong but I believe that's like their third best season since joining the BE, magical indeed

Can't believe we lost twice to that team.

Bad teams play on Wednesday. Not sure what you expected.

This year, we'd lose to DePaul Prep.

I'm of the opposite view, I can't believe we won 12 games.

Two more really bad teams out - Providence and Creighton.

And Creighton Prep in Onaha. If we only had Kerry Trotter from there again. Not so much Vic Lazaretti.

Of course, I wanted MU to win last night. But I did take some consolation in having the season end in a close game instead of the kind of game I would have expected against UConn.

I suspect it would've been pretty similar to the Xavier game tonight.

I reckon they wanted revenge on us so kind of funny they weren't able to get it even though I was rooting hard for 40 more minutes.

This is faulty logic.

Mid was being generous to Villanova. They can be left out of the Tournament with Miami (OH) if you ask me.

Georgetown stomps Nova despite 12 first half turnovers.

Julius Halaifanoua sure looked good for Georgetown tonight -- Shaka was involved with him for a while and wouldn't mind him kicking those tires again.

Brutal year for the BEast.  Will the league be better next season?

I question whether several of the Big East schools are going to be well positioned to compete in the new era of transfers and big paydays.

The days of the Big East being mentioned in the same breath as the four big power conferences might be over.

See my reply to one of Muggsy's posts in his "It needs to be reiterated" thread and his wacko reply that it is a false narrative and is part of the discrimination against "diminutive citizens" when absolutely no part of it was about little schitz. You are asking an illogical poster to explain what was illogical in your post.

Good luck with that.

Perfectly logical. This was my take as well, except that I think Hurley would have driven his team even harder to get revenge and run up the score.

I think this is the first time since 1994 that the semifinals are comprised of only BE charter member schools (Nova was added in 1980, along with Pitt).
