"Marquette is a school to keep a close eye on, but he is highly sought after." (Fru)

Can't believe a poverty program would be interested in a guy that is looking for $2 million or (probably) more.

There certainly seems to be smoke here. Could be a season defining pickup if we can close the deal. Hoping for the best.

Landing Sanada would be music to my ears.

Louisville has made the biggest early splash in the transfer portal, getting commitments from Kansas center Flory Bidunga and Oregon guard Jackson Shelstad. (From The Athletic)

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." - George Washington

Encouraged that Fru is definitely not returning to Louisville but I know there are other schools in on him, and most of them didn't lose 20 games last season...

Still, that On3 tweet suggesting MU as the the frontrunner is slightly encouraging

Hoping, praying, yearning for news today. Maybe we get it.

I wouldn't worry about the losing 20 games.........Providence just landed Byrd and we beat them twice and they fired their coach ............money, opportunity and fit are what's important in the portal market.

Players can look past one poor season when the program has a history of success. Especially when all the young pieces that showed real potential this season stayed committed.

coming off 20 L's means there's PT available. Ball in, check.

I do wonder if bringing in Fru would be enough to make a currently-rostered center decide to transfer. Would love to see a commit before the notification window closes.

doubtful, since they'd almost certainly take a large pay cut.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Quote from: GoldenEagles03 on April 13, 2026, 12:10:44 PMJust got a message that Riley is visiting Marquette this weekend.

I'm in a meeting so I haven't been on Twitter or socials. Is that known info?

See my post from 5 seconds before yours.

Can't imagine Marquette is paying Clark or Hamilton a whole lot.

If this offseason basketball portal season plays out like the football one did, getting the first visit is the very important, as many took their first trip and cancelled the others after committing. It's the reverse of freshman recruiting where you want to get the last visit.

Following this link, here's what this site has for dollar values.  My guess is these are last season's estimated payments...
(I have no idea how accurate this may or may not be and I'm not familiar with this source.  Just thought it was interesting.)
