Soooo...Tyson Bagent.

Quote from: barfolomew on November 03, 2025, 12:36:32 PMWacky box score on that Bears-Bengals game.

Bears had four players average over 6 yards per rush, as well as three players with a passer rating over 114.

If not for the defense being shredded and the Keystone Cops at the end of the 4th, it would have been an absurdly fun game.  The coolest and most entertaining game Johnson has called.  2 different passes to Williams.  The Kmet pass was really cool.  The way they ran Monangai and Brown was amazing.  Even against an absurdly leaky defense, still great to watch an offense clicking all over the place.

While I do think the Bears defense is well below average without the takeaways, I think Cincy has had a very good offense. If they even gave up 30 to them I would feel better. That said, if a frog had wings.......

When I worked for the Bears in 2001 at their Fan Fest, I was a player liaison and spent a lot of time in the front office/player VIP ballroom (at the Hyatt on Michigan Avenue).

Bears had different beverages set up for anyone at the end of the ballroom and I was asked to grab some bottles of water for Dick Jauron. While I was walking over there, I noticed Paul Edinger (with a backpack) in that area. I started grabbing water bottles, and Edinger started putting every Miller Lite can into his backpack (hoping no one saw him). He had to have put 15+ cans of Lite in his backpack.

He must have basically been a rookie then?  Rookie kicker in the NFL in 2001, he was probably making the same as as the Bears front office drones.  Don't blame him for getting the party started on Virginia's tab

Edinger was a weird dude.
