Seamless transition without Kolek or Oso

It's just crazy, ain't it?

1. We're gonna be real good next season.

2. We're only 10 games into this season, and it can be a real special one. I seriously never think about next season for one second unless a Scooper brings it up; I'm having too much fun watching this team this season.

That, too.  Worrying about the game next year is, quite frankly, bizarre

Quote from: WarriorFan on December 07, 2024, 03:07:54 PMIt's clear why Tonje is not playing pro ball despite being 32 years old... everything he does is a violation of some sorts.  In a straight up game with a real whistle on hooks, pushoffs, travels, etc - he'd do nothing because he's not very quick and not a good shooter.  Best he'll ever be is the guy at the YMCA that you just want to punch.
m

He'll be the Y player who yells 'foul!' on every shot.  👀

Excellent win over a clear top 2 big ten team.

Shaka has moved this program to the 'reload not rebuild' level.

If he does it again next year I'll never expect a down year ever again.

Quote from: Goose on December 07, 2024, 02:53:47 PMThe better team won for the first time in four years. Shaka checked the beat Badger box and now needs a deep run to check another box.

This.  My son, a senior, texted he was grateful he finally saw a win over the Badgers during his tenure.  I texted him back the now MU needs a deep run in March to put the icing on the cake.  What a great time for him to be a student.  The beginning of an MU basketball renaissance.

When Chase flew down the court for the breakaway and took it strong, should have been an And-1...#7 arm-barred him mid-air

I wanted him to throw down a nasty dunk so bad but when they contested the way he in mid air shifted for the lay in was so smooth.

Chase getting better at finishing on drives and in transition will take him from being a menace to virtually unstoppable.

Owens will be the next MU superstar and might have a short career at MU. IMO, he is the one of the most gifted recruits in the last 30 years.

Quote from: Uncle Rico on December 07, 2024, 03:15:32 PMBen's continued improvement and maturation ought to be a guiding light for those writing Tre off

I agree with the sentiment.  Ben showed many more glimmers of hope early on than Tre has. Just like DO and Parnham have.  Players mature in different time frames though and frankly Tre has had more depth in front of him to get through for playing time.  Hope he does continue to improve.

Quote from: Frenns Liquor Depot on December 07, 2024, 03:27:10 PMSat Tonje too long with three fouls.  Once the whistles evened up it was lights out.  They were lucky to have the performance from Klismet to keep it close.

Spot on analysis and summary!!

The Sultan

Just watched. Everything said here is great. Kam is special. The energy from Stevie and Chase was incredible. Ben's game is translating from practice.

Crowd was incredible. If there were Badger fans there, they were quiet.

Solid minutes by Caedin today when Gold had to sit.  He's going to be good, just think we won't start seeing it consistently until next year.

They held up very well too when Kam had to sit.

Great job by their medical team getting Chase ready to not just play today, but play effectively too.

Hard earned and gritty win. Everyone had a hand in the win. Feels great to be back on the winning side!

They were very quiet.  MU crowd was fantastic.

I petition to nickname him "the worm".

Football success gives them a lot of energy. They have been beaten down the last few years on the gridiron. Seems this game has been played the same day as the B10 championship game with UW in it on multiple occasions. Remember one year they blamed the loss on the band not being there lol. Our program now with all the retention and redshirts is what theirs used to be.

I was surprised with how skinny he was today, first time seeing him in person.

He's got the mentals for it though, imo.

Next year will be much stronger

I thought the MU/UW split was slanted more towards MU than the last few home games.
