That's silly. You think Coach K is taking Caedin to start on a final four team?

I don't think Theo started

I saw a bit of a bigger Ed Morrow in Caedin yesterday.

Maybe it's partly physical resemblance out there, but that's who Caedin reminded me of yesterday.

I'm glad we didn't need him to come out of nowhere with a block of the century to win that game

Is that a compliment?

This is where I am.   I think Theo is remembered through the Wojo lens and is therefore given less credit than he deserves.   Theo was asked to cover a lot of defensive weaknesses while simultaneously switching 1-5 and ending up on guards on the perimeter.  Then trying to recover and block shots.

Here are Theos 5-yr stats.

I'd love to have soph-to-senior year Theo as Gold's backup, and agree with tower's assessment of what Theo was asked to do in Wojo's poor defensive schemes.

Caeden appears to have a solid future. It's difficult to tell what his ceiling is because we haven't seen enough of him. His shot doesn't look bad coming out of his hands, but I'd rather him not take 3s in close games. There was one possession yesterday in which his defender backed 10 feet away and dared him to take the 3; thankfully, Caeden resisted the temptation and we ended up scoring on the possession.

brew, those were lots of good insights on the crowd, Shaka working the refs, Gard begging for FTs, etc.

There is no doubt I have some bias against Theo based on my take on Wojo. That said, Theo was a guy many MU fans pulled for and gave him more credit than he deserved based off of shot blocking. I said it then, blocking shot into the stands is great to watch, blocking a shot and getting the ball is playing basketball. I'll take Ben's block over a crowd pleaser every time

I have moved on from the Wojo era many moons ago, but I'll take Hamilton's potential over Theo every day of the week. He looks far more skilled and has a coach that has improved big men for quite some time.

I agree on both points.

I think Goose and I look at things pretty similarly. It is the skillset that Caedin has shown in limited time on the floor that we are excited about. That can be developed as opposed to the one-trick pony that Theo was. We may not see optimal Caedin until his junior year but it is coming.

It very easy to see the skillset of Owens. Same with Parham. But these guys develop at different speeds. Just look at Kam as an example.
