Is Chase out? Or are we just assuming?

Nothing official yet.

We are speculating in case he is.

Yeah I didn't read the full post, jumped the gun. Apologies.

TallTitan34

I'm assuming if he is out, they won't release the information until pre-game warmups.

Of course. Scoopers who do not speculate should be banned.

I speculate that his availability-or lack thereof- will probably be kept under wraps until game time.

No one expects you to.  But Tower didn't say anything about the Badgers in his post. You just assumed Badgers, presumably because Tower mentioned the upcoming Badger game. Which is fine,  everyone makes reading comprehension mistakes sometimes

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Actually, it was a writing mistake. Rather than assuming that readers would know that he was referring to the Detroit Lions on a board about Marquette basketball (and ine sentence immediately following the reference to Saturday's game) he could have said "Two of my favorite teams (MU and the Lions) are competing...." or something to that effect.

But it's OK. Everyone makes writing mistakes sometimes.

Tower is not obliged to write his posts thinking that no one understands that he is a Lions' fan, because it is widely known he is a Lions fan. If you are going to participate in a community, the burden for understanding the community falls upon you.

Gotta admit, did not have this on my Scoop Bingo card today.

Personally, I'd go Owens but he or Royce are fine.  I care more about who is getting minutes over who starts.  And as someone pointed out, minutes often depend on how the game is playing out.

A polite reply to Wisblue clarifying what Tower meant stops this whole thing in its tracks.  Instead it becomes a circular argument of stupidly.  People can be such arrogant a-holes on this board trying to be right on the minutiae of what was said, how it wasn't perfectly said or how things are not perfectly interpreted.

Everyone knows what Wisblue meant.  Everyone knows what most posters mean.  But they feel some obligation to nit pick things to death.  The worst part is the people who position themselves as above the fray are some of the worst offenders.

Still, great board and love all your opinions on basketball!  Go MU!

WarriorFan

If Lowery is ready he should start.  If he's not, then Norman.  With the other starters, defense is far more important than offense for the Ross position.  Let the frosh watch a few minutes and understand the speed of the game and the intensity of the matchups before they get in.

Literally FOUR people "politely replied" to Wisblue...including tower. Yet it wasn't "stopped in its tracks."

You've been here too long to think that's going to happen.

He could have been more clear. But the mods slashed the budget for the editors so they're really at fault here.
