Zaide injury?

I wasn't able to watch the game today, but see reference to Zaide being injured, though hopefully not as bad as Sean's last year. Can someone please provide more info about what happened? Thanks in advance.

TAMU says in recap thread Shaka says not like Sean's injury according to the trainer.  Wait and see

Was interesting he couldn't put any weight on it. Usually you can with a torn ACL, but sometimes the ACL plus more being torn can lead to that.

Hoping he's like Giannis and can come avoid a major injury here.

Zaide was in huge pain.  Felt bad for him but didn't see what happened as I was following the play. 

Shaka said he doesn't want to jump to conclusions, might have bumped knees and trainer thinks not as bad Sean, hopefully not serious.  They will do a mri.

Praying for him.  It was his best game of the year, and his shot looked good today.

Shaka with Homer said the initial assessment by the trainer was it was not too bad.......not similar to Sean's initial assessment.
He said he think he banged his knee.
However, caveat that need to run more tests, MRI, etc.

If you ever played ball and banged knees with another player, you know how excruciatingly painful that is. Earlier this week, I was thinking back to my playing days and how fortunate I was to never really get hurt ... except for the one time I banged knees. It hurts, but I really hope that's what happened to Zaide.

Didn't see the knee bang, I hope that's what it was - had the very same thing in HS and was on crutches 3 wks. Was worried that it was non-contact and that he was grabbing at he knee before going down - those are bad signs. Fingers crossed, Zaide.

Watching Lowery pick up small quick players full court is a treat. He is really a fluid mover defensively.

I sure hope he is OK. I collided knees with a player when playing in HS and it hurt so bad I thought I was going go blow chow. Felt like a hammer to the inside edge of the knee cap. I can only imagine what it would feel like for Lowery (if that is what happened) given how much bigger and stronger D-1 players are.

Agree with everyone else that this was his best game to date.  He and Tre both just need confidence.  Hopefully Shaka's comments about the injury prove to be the case and he is able to return sooner rather than later.

Just my observation; I was at the game, right behind the bench.  I didn't see it happen, but Zaide was very upset.  Pounding the floor with his fist and his whole body was "shaking/convulsing" as you would expect.  He was literally crying.  I don't know know if it was from the pain, or the thought of how serious it could be.  He was putting no weight on it at all as his teammates helped him off the court and into the tunnel.

It is hard to tell because he is crashing the lane and there is a WCU guy blocking the visual angle. It is certainly plausible that his knee hits another knee. Zaide's knee did not buckle or appear to hyperextend. So, that is good.
However, ZL was shaking, crying, and in alot of pain and could not put any weight on his knee when helped off the court.

Completely different injuries. So we will still have to see on overall severity

But people have got to stop referencing Zaides tears and reaction. I've seen it a ton.

In the moment pain, is a thing. Shock, is a thing. Crying is a thing.

Ahsworth for Creighton vs Nebraska had a reaction of an injury that they kill horses for.
