It appears the Secret Service did their jobs, spotted the anomaly, and responded appropriately.

If the guy didn't shoot at anyone, the secret service overreacted. Again, as insane as it is, open carry long gun is completely legal in Florida. Until he shoots he's within his rights.

Not if they saw an immediate threat and in this case, it was pretty clear it was an immediate threat.

Open carry doesn't allow one to use a weapon as a threat or raise it in a threatening manner as this guy did.

The courts, at least where I live, are looking skeptically on Stand Your Ground defenses. They're looking at proportionality and at the state of mind of both parties when SYG is used as a defense.

Caught the last 5 minutes of a rant about the alleged shooter, and how Kamala/Biden caused this. Commercial break- the program was sponsored by the local gun dealer, Now that deer hunting season is coming soon, had new shipments of AR's with the ability to modify to add larger caliber bullets.
