It's early in the investigation but It's beyond bizarre to me this guy could get so close in proximity.  I don't think we have clear guidelines about what securing the perimeter means.

I'd look at the owner of the golf course and ask how they could have such lack security when a former President, and current Presidential candidate was playing.

But with the number of guns in this country. Your average person is probably less than 50 yards from an armed individual most of their life.

Thanks to freedom, loving Florida what he did was legal. You can open carry long rifles anywhere you want in Florida.
People walk into Walmart toting long rifles and it's completely legal. A golf course would be the same way.
