Don't lie.  What was your vert in your prime?  And what's considered acceptable for a non D-1 athlete?  Muggsy had a '44.

Not much. I'm 6'4" and could never dunk - maybe get my fingertips over the rim at best.

My game was best described as Jack Sikma-esque.  If I got hot from deep, I'm making it rain on your a$$.

Do we just say Ners and lock this thread?

The highest vert in the animal kingdom (by far) is a humpback 🐋.   99.7% of humans don't know this.

Not including insects.

Easier to harpoon them when they do that

MuggsyB

Those who besmirch our 🐋 🐋, and tremendous marine mammals, are worthless and weak.  They're just bad people whose hubris will catch up to them.

jesmu84

5'7" with proportional arms. Could hang on the rim during college. You do the math.

I'm still salty I'm behind Ners though

Seriously?  You must be in the '38 range.

5'10.  Dunked tennis balls in high school.

That's still pretty good.  Those with really good hops can jump off of one foot.  I was never able to do that.

Is that 5'10 in golf spikes?

WhiteTrash

6' could dunk a women's ball (small hands  :() at 17-22 yo. (was a HS high jumper)

I don't think I can reach the net any longer.

Silkk the Shaka

5'11" only got up to a volleyball, could never get a regulation basketball 😭

BM1090

5'7. Can hit backboard and probably the middle of the net. No idea where they puts me. Not embarrassing but not great either.

I can still dunk.  I play pick-up games with Tim Gerend at the Y and he's always setting me up on alley-oops

Maybe on a nerf hoop or with your biscotti.

Pretty close to the same for me. I had a late growth spurt and went from 5'7 to 5'10 my freshman year of college.  But I didn't really get any sort of vert till I started properly lifting lower body in my 20s. So my "peak" vert was probably age 25-26, bit after when I was probably most springy age wise.  But ate that time I could get rim regularly, dunk a tennis ball on a good day.

I remember the first time I jumped and easily grabbed the net with 2 hands to then grab the rim.  I felt like a kangaroo

You may have felt like a kangaroo, but only if the kangaroo was on his last legs.  They casually have a 8 foot vert JWags.
