110%. Not an NBA ready player on the MU roster. Save this post and check back in 2 years, see who's actually on an NBA team. Likely will be Ben Gold.

Tyler Kolek will be on an NBA roster in two years. Ben Gold will not be.

Oso was an incredible representative of our alma mater.

The work he put in to make himself stronger, better and more prepared for the NBA was only equaled by the work he had to put in to obtain a Masters of Business Administration.

We will miss him at MU but look forward to his accomplishments in the NBA and in his business career.

Best center since Mac.
Best center since Chones.  I'd take Oso all day over Mac.

Completely different games, but I would agree.

I like Oso, and he was very good with this team...but I'd go w/Mac. His D, shot blocking and intimidation in the paint. Both were good for their respective teams, of course...each reaching a Sweet 16.

Wishing all the best. Great guy. As far as his Marquette legacy, he will be remembered for the most disappointing postseason performance in Marquette history

No he will not. Good grief some of you are nuts.

Must have missed in the box score where Oso missed 27 3 pointers.

It's a well established fact that not a single player, ever, in the history of the NBA has ever been selected on potential. Also, not a single player has ever gotten better once they leave college, where they do the entirety of their development.

Great improvement in his time here. Represented MU with class and had some big moments. I wish the end of the year finished the way it started for his benefit. Will be interesting to see if he gets drafted and/or sticks with an NBA squad. Also will be interesting to see if he develops a jump shot at some point. Best of luck, Oso!

Best of luck to Oso. Loved watching him grow in his time at Marquette. A great student-athlete as shown by his being the Big East Student Athlete of the Year this year.

And thanks to Wojo for recruiting Oso! A great holdover from Wojo's time.

I truly hope whatever derailed his NCAA tournament performance was a minor physical injury and it doesn't impact his draft stock. It seemed to really limit his explosiveness, which you're gonna need if you can't shoot. As long as scouts look at that as the exception to the rule, or at least get an answer from him, I'd anticipate a late first-round pick.

Mac was a great help shot blocker.  He could be bullied and scored upon by his opposite number, and he wasn't particularly good at anything else because he didn't have great hands.

I keep going back to his junior year when O'Neill didn't even start him in the NCAA game against Big Country Reeves (and Mac proved him right by fouling out in 6 minutes off the bench)

I take two great years of Oso over one from Mac.

Oso does not have an NBA game right now, perfect 2 way contract would be ideal for him, does not have a position right now, to small to be a center and does not have forward skills yet.  But his improvement and basketball skills are awesome, just needs a chance, do not see him drafted

Dr. Blackheart

JTA has made a NBA career as a point center. Oso is just a bigger version of that versatility.

I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

JTA isn't on a nba roster. A bunch of seasons in the backwater. A couple seasons in the nba, then the G, 10-day deals, now out. I suppose the checks didn't bounce, a ring w/GS.

He's made almost $5MM in NBA money, and whatever else he's made in different leagues.  He did very well.

Doesn't fit the narrative

Just want to echo all the great comments here recognizing the on and off court appreciation for Oso. Was in the middle for the best and most exciting MU offense I can recall. Good luck to him going forward.

Pretty sure Markus' Seton Hall, Murray state combo has anything topped.

Oso was a great Warrior. Good luck to him.
