As of May 2024, Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 145 out of 193 member states of the United Nations.

Which still doesn't make them a state. And if they are a state, every military incursion into the West Bank, is a war of aggression.

And every settler attack (who are using weapons supplied by the Israeli government) with military support/or police support is state sponsored terrorism against another country.

Is that the stance you are taking? That Israel has been partaking in wars of aggression for decades, and conducts state sponsored terrorism.

You can't have it both ways (well technically you can, but it is illogical)? And call Palestine a country when it supports your arguments, and not a country when it runs afoul of your beliefs or arguments.

Who do think is responsible for more violence ... Israelis upon the West Bank or West Bank residents upon Israelis?

And yours is a weird take from the guy who advocates for full-scale war (and possibly nuclear war).

Over the past 20 years there have been over 300,000 civilians killed in Darfur.  Why don't you give a flying f about this but only Palestinians?

1. People can care about, and be disturbed about more than one think at once.
2. We are not supplying arms to the people directly responsible for the civilians that have been killed in Darfur.

Actually, Israel has offered Hamas a new deal

This looks a lot like the plan that Hamas had previously agreed to, that Israel refused to sign.

2.5 Sudanese civilians will probably die of starvation but the echo choir here (and the UN) couldn't care less.  They only care about Palestinians.

Let's look at what was done there. There were mass atrocities in a civil war, the UN worked to end the first civil war, and as a result a new nation South Sudan was created to initiate a peace deal between two historically clashing entities.

Currently, the UN extended an embargo to stop the influx of weapons leading to civilian deaths in a new civil war in South Sudan. The entire world is working hard to bring humanitarian aid into a civil war region, where the struggles come from it being an active war zone.

If we applied the same treatments to Palestine/Israel, Palestine would have been declared an independent nation along the 1967 borders decades ago. Weapons embargoes would have been placed on Israel, and they would have been forced to open humanitarian corridors.

Bravo to the UN then for all of their help in Sudan.

Such a nonsense talking point.

Probably because the US taxpayers aren't monetarily funding or directly supplying arms that have killed those in Darfur

Why haven't you mentioned people in Darfur until now in regards to saying people shouldn't be upset about civilians dying elsewhere? Seems like crocodile tears to me

Apparently not. After Hamas signaled they were ok with the deal that looked almost exactly like the one they already agreed to. Netanyahu is saying there will be no deal until they've completed all their military objectives.

Israel just rejected Israel's offer
Or Biden tried to put pressure on them by releasing those details even though they werent finalized.

They know there's no consequences if they make the Biden admin look bad anyway. They'll keep sending arms.

hamas is willing to discuss this deal and israel isn't. But Biden can't/won't say that. instead he tried to pretend israel agrees to a ceasefire but hamas refuse to come to the table.

Either way makes him look like a pushover

Publicly "pretending" stuff that you know to be untrue that can also be proven to be untrue doesn't seem much like leadership.

What is more likely, is that Netanyahu, who is afraid for his political future, because if he isn't in power he is likely to be convicted of numerous crimes, is constantly changing his stance.

In both times there was essentially a deal, it looks like the Israeli negotiators came to agreements, that were approved higher up, but then when conflicts arose in the administration (e.g. far-right coalition who are opposed to any deal whatsoever) Netanyahu changed his tune. There was only pushback on Biden's peace plan once it became apparent Hamas viewed the deal favorably.

The bottom line is Israel has no intention of making any deal.
