-Morsell will be on Kolek so we don't have to worry about that

I'm struggling to understand what they mean by "we don't have to worry about that". Like they think this matchup will make Kolek a non-factor? Mmk.

UConn has the secret sauce.  Defend him with someone at least his size and preferably quicker.  Stay home on the shooters.  Have Clingan in drop coverage.

If the opposing team can't do that, I like TKo's chances.

Our aggressive, trapping style defense is going to be the downfall of NC State's offense...or will give them a ton of good looks and easy baskets.

It just amuses me because what else do you think team's have been trying to do the past 2 seasons?
Often attempted, seldom accomplished

That's also what I said

Randoms on the internet act like the 20ish coaches we've played all year couldn't come up with that thought.

Missing shots cost Arizona, too.   5-28 from 3 in a 5 point game.
You keep forcing dumb shots and it will usually work against you. Arizona was brain dead the last 10 minutes even with significant help from the refs. Caleb Love is and will always be a chucker

Most teams take open 3s even when they aren't falling.  MU certainly did.   Unwavering belief the next one will go in and the dominoes will start.   It works over time, sometimes not within a particular game.   In a loser goes home scenario, it can be poison.

If your offense is designed to get you a particular shot -- you take it when it's there. Even when MU wasn't shooting very well at times this season, they were taking good shots. Nothing should change tonight. Hopefully our guys don't have an uncharacteristically bad shooting game. We should win...but that's why they play the games.

Clemson and Bama are better than NC State.

.  #2 seeds should beat #11 seeds.

I think we're past the point where the number seed makes any difference.

The seeds are established based on performance for the whole season, but all that matters tonight is how that team plays tonight, and recent performance is a much better predictor, especially for a team that spent the season trying to mesh together an assortment of new, but experienced players.

What I see is a team that beat Duke and UNC, was extremely fortunate to beat a mediocre Virginia team, and went to OT against the champions of the Horizon League (a team that won a squeaker against UWM to get into the NCAA, but also beat a 3 seed Kentucky). All four of those games were in the last two weeks.

So, I see a team that is capable of beating teams as good as MU and is riding high with confidence. I also see a team that is clearly not unbeatable and needed some breaks to make the NCAA tournament and survive the first weekend.

Put it all together and MU better play it's A game or it could be in trouble. As we saw last night, being a high seed and being a 6-7 point favorite doesn't guarantee anything.

Stew Morrill could have. Easily.

Took a look at the 247 NC State message board.  Among my favorites:

-Force Kolek right
-Morsell will be on Kolek so we don't have to worry about that

Also, no inclination about how good Kam has been.

Obviously none of that matters and every board has some wild takes but the "force Kolek right" is always a classic.

Sure, probably.

But isn't the same true of NC State? Or are they so great they only need their C game to beat mediocre ol' MU?

Does Middlebrooks go out of his way to injure multiple opposing players?

Kam can do his boxing hobby a lot more if he comes back another year.

NBA he's gonna have to lock in on making a team.

Come on back kid!

Depends what half, since I learned recently from announcers that the second half is the most important half
