Titan, didn't you learn your lesson last year that no else can have a legitimate perspective on the refs other than Sultan.  He's insufferable on this topic as only he knows anything according to him and EVERYONE else is a whiner.  You were just pointing out clear cases where not even a common foul was called.  It's actually fun to troll him on this topic as he can't help but tell you how wrong you are and gets way too invested in it.  Name one fan base that doesn't complain about the refs.  I have to live with my in-law Badgers and they make us look mild in comparison.

Then in overtime suddenly everything is a foul. I think there weren't unfair to Marquette but in OT they changed the how they called things. Was wondering if Shaka was going to go zone because of it.

This. That's one of the most obvious F2s I've ever seen. Not a basketball play. Shot to the head. Ref saw it right in front of him and didn't care. If that crew isn't interested in doing their jobs, then let them stay at home.

They need to call the game consistently.  If they ignore a guy getting clobbered while driving the lane, they shouldn't call  ticky tack stuff either.  They also need to give a guy his vertical space.  Gold got called for a foul against X where he went straight up to defend a drive.  He didn't initiate the contact and that shouldn't be a blocking foul.

Someone asked me on Feb. 29 if I was the same person who went by the handle silverwarrior on the 247 site. I said nope, never even heard of him.

So this was just our alert dentist chiming in merely two weeks later in the middle of a discussion about officiating in last night's game. Par for the course.

Anyway ... how that ref missed that attack on Stevie is alarming. I hope Marquette calls it to the Big East's attention.

Inexplicable. O'Connell is usually pretty decent at his job, but it's hard to believe that this happened right in front of him. Maybe it was the stress of having to work with Breeding.
