I've never been more certain a shot was going in than that 3 with We Are Marquette ringing through the arena

No Finish Line

What a 2nd half with Tyko carving dudes up!!!

JWags85

Kolek in the Nova game was absurd, this may have been even better.  He single handedly flipped the game and drained the energy out of an out of their mind SJ team when the rest of the team was struggling to find answers.  What a special player

Phenomenal performance JWags.

I guess we shook off the week-off rust.

Going to be a nice win when it is all said and done

Given the timing, I think this is the post of the night.

Rico, you make me laugh a lot, but this post was prescient.
Would live to have several brews with you.

St. John's wasn't going to keep making 3's at the clip they were.  Only concern was TyKo and Oso fumbling around.  When TyKo made that 3 before half, ball game
Ramsey head thoroughly up his ass.

27, 13, and 7 doesn't suck.

Tough game No Freshmen today    Had Rick jawing with his player at the end he was so frustrated we pulled it out

No, he took over the 2nd half.  He was sloppy to start the game but showed why he's the best PG in America

Still kind of scratching my head how we won that game. TK's second half performance just can't have happened, It's not possible. (With help from many others.)

It is no 40 in a half, but it was pretty darn impressive.

St. John's wasn't shooting out of their minds as much as it seemed because of all the second chance points. I was a lot more upset in the first half about the offensive rebounds and MU's careless ball handling than SJ's shooting.

When the third shot of a possession is a made three you forget about some of the misses.

MU's 14 for 27 on 3's might be called shooting out of their minds

They had a very good shooting first half even with the O-Rebs.

Very good but not really out of their minds considering the shots they were getting.

What were they on 3's in the first half? Maybe 50%?

What was MU in the second half?

ETA. I checked my recording of the game and saw the first half stats.

SJ was 8/18 on 3's and 19/40 overall. MU was 6/12 on 3's and 14/27 overall.

So the issue was simply SJ getting more shots, not that they shot better.

MU was 8/15 on 3's in the second half. Throw in that they made the last 2 they tried at the end of the first half and they made 10 of their last 17. That's out of their mind shooting for a team that usually doesn't rely heavily on 3's.

It probably didn't help that the ones they missed, they got their own rebound often.

Yes the issue was they got way too many possessions in first half, beating MU in rebounds almost 2:1, got it to almost even by the end of the game.
Goal is National Championship
