Unless something comes out about Tennessee that is different than what has been reported, pretty much every school is doing what they are being accused of doing. And I do think this is a part of their frustrations with the NCAA. Their inability to want to actually come up with solutions in this landscape, but instead focusing on enforcing rules that are vague, approved through a process that was incomplete, and focus on punishment.

Honestly I think the B10 and SEC see what is coming down the road way more than the NCAA does, and are at least trying to get in front of it.

The press release mentioned this is partly being done to protect the student athlete.

I fully believe that

Can their punishment be a permaban of playing RockyTop?

Absolutely. 100% of the time, they are all about the student athlete.

Trying to come up with rules for NIL?

For starters, stop calling it NIL and call it what it really is: Pay for Play.

Not really but sure. Keep believing that.

"The Big Ten Conference and Southeastern Conference today announced the formation of a joint advisory group of university presidents, chancellors, and athletics directors to address the significant challenges facing college athletics and the opportunities for betterment of the student-athlete experience."

Uh huh. Their concern is touching.

The two giants who have almost swallowed up any legitimate competitors remaining.  How do we divide college athletic domination is what's going on here.

I'm assuming the issue they're combating is wage growth of African American student athletes
