I'll be heading there (from western MA) and meeting a fellow '88 grad from near Boston. We'll join up with the Blue & Gold reception (https://alumni.marquette.edu/mbb-providence-23) before the game.

Anyone else going to be there?

With high hopes for the season, I'm aiming to surpass my standard of making it to 1-2 games per year. Will have @Prov, planning on Seton Hall in MKE, and have tickets for @UConn (I'll be hosting 4 classmates for the weekend...should be a good one). Also considering @G'town. And, of course, the BEast tourney at MSG.

Wish I had the time and money to get to some of these. Enjoy it!

Providence is 2h15m drive for me one way, so weeknight games are a no go.
FS1 it is.

About the same for me, and most years, I land in the same place as you. This year is different. I want to see them live any time I can. Plus, I like having an opportunity to see Tyler play in front of his family and friends.

Some fan you are.

I have Pickleball league play from 6-8p CT. I am going to attempt to annihilate the competition quickly and get out of there by 728p

Pre-game or post-game, Murphys and Blake's are two fine Irish saloons, each about 3 blocks from the AMP ( formerly the Dunk) and both have a big Providence following on gameday. Fun places to check out, if you are so inclined.

Thanks, CT. My original post included a link to tonight's reception at Blake's. I'll be there!

That the Marquette reception for the DePaul game is not at Reggies is a travesty.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I'll be there tn and have an extra ticket in sec 218. Lmk if anyone needs one

Not sure if this was mentioned here anywhere, but Providence is 19-0 All Time with Johnny Fanta on the call. He is there tonight.

Soft.

We lived close to 2 hours away from Milwaukee and made it to every weeknight game when we had season tickets.  If it was an 8 o'clock tip we were getting home after midnight, and I got up at 5:30 the next morning to get to work.

One night isn't going to kill you.  Or maybe it will.
Have some patience, FFS.

How are the autumns?  It's not even winter yet.

Devin Carter (back) and Corey Floyd (undisclosed) are both questionable as game time decisions tonight for the Friars.

Stevie is likely going to be sidelined again unless he is well enough around warmup time. They don't want to rush his hamstring.

Was fun reconnecting with a couple of classmates at the pre-game reception; always fun to catch up with MU folks.

Was wonderful that my buddy got us floor level seats; always amazing to see a game up close...so different and impressive.

Was enjoyable engaging with PC fans. I know others speak poorly of them, but I only had informed and interesting conversations. (That said, did the PC student section chant of "F**k you, Kolek!" get heard over the broadcast? They chanted it maybe 3 times in the second half.)

Sure sucked to have such a terrible on MU's part. Prov and the crowd effectively kept MU from ever building any momentum.

And then I had to drive 2+ hours to get home.

Despite it all, I remain optimistic for the season and look forward to whatever game I get to next, which will be no later than @UConn.
