A moment away from our regularly scheduled mayhem
« on: July 24, 2023, 06:18:53 PM »
A friend, MU '79, married to MU '78, has entered hospice with a brain tumor that ultimately won.

We met in 98 when we were at the same park with our respective 3 year olds wearing MU tees.   They were classmates for 14 years and we all bonded over MU.  She was/is the ultimate mom.  She was diagnosed 5 years ago.  Sometimes, it seemed she was winning.    Alas.

Remember to be kind.

I’m sorry for your loss also Tower.

A roommate of mine from the Lighthouse (class of 84) was diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma about 14 months ago. He entered hospice care about 10 days ago and unfortunately has been given only days more.

I echo your sentiment of be kind.

Condolences to you and your friend’s entire family. Brain cancer is awful - only took 6 months to take my Dad. Sounds like your friend fought it with great courage. Hope her story can inspire all of us to be more kind.

Condolences to you and her family. Lost a brother to the same and have a cousin fighting it now. Your friend completely beat the odds, which I know does not make this any less painful.
Yes, remember to be kind.

A friend.  An MU alum married to another MU alum.   A reminder.

Sorry for your loss, Tower. A good reminder that we need to let those who are close know how much we care.

Sorry tower
In cherished memory of an old friend, raise a plastic cup of RW&B, enjoy a bowl of Real Chilli and remember all the great times from the last 40 years.
Peace.
