Entire teams in some sports don't touch the conference title trophy (NHL for example) but keep reaching!!!

Butler didn't have a great Finals and, except for a brief stretch tonight, had a really bad Game 5. But the Heat wouldn't have even sniffed the Finals had Butler not been sensational in earlier rounds, game after game after game.

He's one of many great players to have never won a title. Maybe he'll do it next season, or maybe -- like Malone, Stockton, Barkley, Ewing, Gervin, Paul, etc etc etc -- he never will.
