Win tomorrow - great.  If we lose, just get out of the game healthy.

At this point staying healthy is what matters most.

BS.  Winning is what matters most in every game we play.  A big East Tournament Championship is the next thing ahead of us.  Winning that is what matters most.

Hmmmm.  Sounds like someone is fed up with UConn fans.   ;D

Farley is gooning bad rn.

Not sure what that means but I can assure you today was the best of both worlds.  Marquette won and I got to see Scoopers melt down for the whole game only to act like German's in the late 1940s "It wasn't mean, I never participated."

SJU played great defense - if you ignore the fact that Soriano should've been called for defensive 3 seconds on every possession.

If Oso is running point forward 3 feet above the elbow, Soriano cannot be in the paint - period.

If we have this ref crew tomorrow, we should threaten to leave the conference.

Agree that Mr. Highknees is bad. There were some very strange calls. Was it carrying on Oso 1st half? We turned it over enough that we couldn't blame the refs if we had lost, including the remarkable brain fart that caused the over and back. I thought we were done with the foul on the three, but we survived.

The offense seemed very stagnant down the stretch - a lot of TK dribbling and and Johnny Most would have said, fiddling and diddling. I think we do better when the ball moves and so do the players.

As many posters have said, we got through it. We are a below .500 team in the BET and this will be only our third trip to the semis.

Let's shake off the demons and show people what we can do!

This has to be a parody account, right?  You're so obsessed with crying about the refs that you don't know the absolute basics of the game.  You do realize there is no such thing as defensive 3 seconds in college basketball, right?

The refs weren't the problem.  They were bad both ways.  They let both sides play most of the game.  Yes, there were individual bad calls.  But it didn't make Marquette play horrendous.

I guess I didn't realize that until now. Great point. It should exist.

Win anyway. That's what the team did. They played with heart--not perfect, but with heart. Happy to see the team get a win.

On to the winner of UConn/Prov. Let's get to Saturday!
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Shaka said after the game, the team had a lot of nerves playing in cavernous MSG and they got through it.

I think this game emphasizes Stevie's value.  SJU''s first half run and MU's malaise happened with Stevie on the bench after that weak second foul.  Stevie came in in the last two minutes and it stabilized.

Relax.  I did not say I didn't want the team to win the BET.  If we happen to lose tomorrow, there's not a ton of downside.

We're in agreement. The moment I saw O-max and Stevie had 2 fouls, I knew Johns was in a good position.

Everyone stepped up--Chase had some good run today (short of letting Posh get in his head...he has the speed to beat posh 10/10 times on the breakaway.

What a surprise.  This dude not only has a loser's mentality but is already laying the groundwork for his excuses because he has no faith that the team can beat UConn.

Let's shake off the demons and show people what we can do!

Oso being afraid to take a 12 foot shot completely eliminated the back cuts and easy access to the hoop. In some sense, very similar to when teams figured Tyler's game out last year and played the pass. It completely bogged down the offense.

Oso can make that shot. Regardless, he needs to take it once or twice to at least draw some attention. He and Ben Gold should shoot thousands of those this summer. I get it we want shots at the bucket and 3s, but that should be a high enough percentage shot and it would open up so many things for the offense that we are no longer getting. Tyler put the team on his back today, including on the boards.

I was about to post the same, but in a far more insulting tone.  5DP yikes!!!!  😂

This x1000!
He was even afraid to take a couple open 5 footers, and one of them late led to an immediate bad pass and turnover.

He did follow that with a great offensive board and put-back, and then that confident move followed by the hook.

It would be one thing if Oso passing that shot up led to an open three, but it leads often to a clogged passing lane turnover or a pass that barely gets to a guarded teammate.

Kudos to him for getting his confidence back late.

I am probably in a minority of one, I think Mr. Highness called the game consistently to no one's favor. Not a big fan of his though as he has a weird combination of letting the kids play hard and calling things tight . Takes the skill out of the game and introduces luck . It is all about him when it should be about the players .

When they steamrolled Kolek at the end of the game  and know foul was a classic example . Yet every damn chicken wing warding was called .

Glad we got the jitters game out of our system .

Johnnies gave us a classic Big East battle for 45 minutes

I hope next year Johnnies  schedule our home game with them at The Garden instead of their campus facility .
