Shaka Smart the official Big East Coach of the Year.

Tyler Kolek the official Big East Player of the Year.

Hopefully a National Coach of the Year is next for Shaka and possibly an All America selection for Tyler.

Honestly, that's an inexcusable error for the conference to make in an article announcing the winners. It's not like there's a lot of research needed or it is a obscure secondary fact in an article about another subject. It's a freaking article by the conference about the conference's highest awards. It's hard to imagine how this could happen.

Hopkins and Tyler were unanimous 1st teamers . While a coach cannot vote for their own players (or themselves), the conference lists it as unanimous (excluding their coach's vote) if they receive all others.
