Kolek is now 2 under Miller for #2 for the single season record with 246. To get to the magic number 1 Tyler will need to hit 275. Meaning he needs a total of 29 more assists. With a minimum of 2 games left and a max of 9 Tyler has a fantastic shot to get this record.

I think he has more missed assists (player missed shot) than he has assists.

If he plays four years at MU and if he continues this pace, he has a great chance to catch/pass Tony Miller.  We'd also be looking at a situation where 8 of the top ten single seasons would belong to Miller and Kolek.

They're solid for their Conf. But assists are more about style. You can score points w/o assists.

St Louis has some HM transfers... and Larry Hughes JR... as well as fourth-year sophomore Gibson Jimerson! Interesting roster.

Yuri Collins is 19th on the all time assist list with 858. He's a very good point guard.

Some reasonably why they are where they are this season:

A10 Conference Player of the Year pick Javonte Perkins hasn't been the same player physically since his torn ACL. A big season was expected from him. In addition the lost their glue guy Fred Thatch for the season, earlier this season. Kelly Thames' son Kellen hasn't played this season due to injury a few games into the season.

They need to defend better.

They have faded late for different reasons in some games, after leading much of the game. At Auburn, up 9, they shot 4/14 FT's and lost by 5 for example. They aren't as good when the game slows down late as they are earlier in the game when they pace is pushed and the ball moves around.

They do have wins over Providence, Memphis, Drake, etc...and they finished tied for 2nd in the A10.

They are essentially a perennial bubble team under Ford.
