Patrick Reed playing would be a reason to stay away, I agree.  However, I do believe tour players who are trying to remake the tour need to embrace international events.  American arrogance about where golf should be played opened the door to the Bonesaw Tour

LIV Golf Ltd, the United Kingdom-based entity which manages the upstart golf league's activities outside of the United States, lost £461.8million in 2024 ($590.1million).

It represents the latest high, or low, for the already heavily loss-making business and meant losses in the UK business across the first three-and-a-half years of operation hit £1.1billion ($1.4billion).

Those losses, as shown in LIV Golf Ltd's 2024 accounts, come as LIV revenues remain small compared to the significant sums paid to attract golfers away from the more established PGA and DP World Tours, operated in the U.S. and Europe respectively.

More proof golfers are soft.  Third round of the Dunhill cup cancelled due to the remnants of a dying hurricane hitting the area.   Not the Scottish or Irish way.

OK, golfers, best round of the year, worst round of the year.

Best: 66 on a 5500 yard course.  71 on a 6400 yard course. 

I am 59.  I don't do 7000 anymore.

Worst: 89.  Weird one.  Decent, but not great (+2) through six holes, and then had a blow up like I hadn't seen in 20 years.

Any initial words on names?  Sand Valley is obviously incredible, but the branding of the individual courses is one of the most incredible things to me.  Both the Mammoth and Sedge Valley apparel stand alone as amazing.  Foxes have been a big thing to me since my late teens, so obviously I'm obsessed with the Sedge Valley logo.  My BIL grabbed me a few Sedge Valley things when he was up there last year and assured me I shouldn't feel like a poser.  I have a couple pieces from a French brand called Maison Kitsune that has a fox logo, and Sedge Valley gear honestly looks an extension of their clothing moreso than gear from a golf course.

Im sure the reactions and commentary on this 18 year old girl playing in a golf tournament will be totally normal, not at all creepy and leering and not at all projecting thoughts on feelings about her grandfather onto her.  Probably get shades of the Ryder Cup gallery at an LPGA event.
