Need to tamp down expectations.

Well, he’s the host

Right, forgot that. Probably wishes he was back in Jupiter.

As of now, he is missing cut. Least he can hand out the trophy on Sunday after few days of rest.

Expectations are way too high, well for some posters. Always like Tiger, but he is just too beat up physically.  Wish him well.

I agree.  Not surprised he “struggled” today.  Actually hit the ball better than I anticipated both days but not playing regularly and the physical limitations of his body simply limit what he can do.  Still wild he’ll basically better half the field, though

I wish I could say I was surprised by the number of people OFFENDED by the gag joke, but I’m not. I’m not a huge Tiger fan and I wasn’t ground breakingly clever, but people need to lighten up.

For beating half the field and making cuts is a great living for any PGA tour professional. Look at Charles Howell who has made like 45 million dollars on tour with three wins scattered around. That doesn’t account for endorsement money.
The elite players need the wins and hate just barely making cuts.  Tiger playing on one leg is a miracle for professional golf, but has to accept reality soon.

Side note, Netflix just released the PGA Tour series and it was great. Eight episodes and you can observe what I discussed above. Thomas, Speith, Scheffler, Damlin and others fantastic. Koepka just a lost cause and can’t root for the guy. Enjoy

Annika Sorenstam gave a skirt to Fred Funk when she outdrove him during one of those goofy golf events.

It doesn't offend me.  I question the timing and the self awareness.   Funny in Jupiter when they are having a casual round.   There is no way this could have been missed.   Ah, well.

I think Tiger knows his limitations and that’s why he’s playing here and the majors.  I could see him play Jack’s place.

Tiger still has a chance to make the cut.

Would help his cause if he did.

only half way thru the netflix documentary-it is fantastic!!

saw a side of humility in koepka that he hasn't shown

excellent take on joel dahmen and his quest to be the 70th best golfer- lots of behind the scene info

ian poulter is still a putz but another pov

jordie and justin was just fun

btw, tiger handing a tampon to JT at the genesis was just fun.  those who found something to get riled up over??  get a life.  we've lost all perspective on people just trying to laugh.  if you're offended, look the other way.  funny seeing someone "past his prime" showing up a dude still "in his prime" right mr lemon?

and they juxtapose all this with the LIV.
don't...don't don't don't don't

Is anybody playing with new sticks this year?   I am messing around with some 3 woods.     Also thinking about getting a 7 wood to replace my 3 hybrid.

Totally agree.  Like I said, it wasn’t all that funny, but it was just a lack of self awareness and eye roll at worst.  I saw a golf blogger say that it as “more offensive to woman than all of his misdeeds while married” which is just a wild take.

What type of 3 wood do you prefer?  Aesthetically while lining up I like the thinner head, flatter bottom, but I just can’t seem to hit them for anything compared to a beefier one.

I am gaming a 6 year old Tour Edge Exotic 4 wood.  I have been flirting with a Ping G 425.   Selling them out because they are last year's model.  At the standard 14.5 setting, it launches higher than the 16.5 TEE.
We are always looking for distance.   I am equally interested in point-and-shoot ease of use.   I have that with my TSi2 driver.
All a long way of saying that I am not monogomous to a brand or a look. I want something that flies the same (good) way 8 times out of 10.
If all things are equal, I would probably choose the lower profile face.

I'm officially done with fairway woods. Dumped my 4 wood for a used 18 degree TaylorMade hybrid. Getting my putter regripped.. Going with a Traxion Pistol oversize grip. First time for an oversize grip for me.

Thomas Pieters joins LIV. Was disgruntled he could not get an invite to Tigers Genesis tournament at Rivieria. Won 2012 NCAA tournament at Rivieria

My guess is LIV is why he did not get an invite. Likely was passed over with the LIV rumor swirling.

I’ve come to cherish Herm’s blind consistency.  And Tiger is absolutely back…11 shots back of the leaders

For now. Tiger’s essence on Sunday will make those guys forget if they are righty or lefty. 12 shots is nothing.

Being top half of the field at the moment is impressive considering he hasn’t played competetively since July.

But Rahm is damn impressive at the moment
